HIT Supplements Core Athlete Whey Protein-Waffles & Syrup
First off I want to give a big thank you for my selection in this thread to give HIT Supplements' new Waffles and Syrup whey protein a swing. I received the protein the day before yesterday, and immediately cracked it open. I hadn't been able to start the review due to internet troubles. The smell is truly like a Belgian waffle, and I smelled more of an agave nectar sort of smell than a maple I was expecting. Not at all a bad hint, but surprising.
I typically only drink shakes when I'm really really pressed for time, so I threw a scoop (40g) in 2 cups of Greek yogurt, and mixed thoroughly. It was awesome. It sort of reminded me of cookie butter, or butter cream cookies.
Then yesterday morning, I had one scoop in 6 oz of cold water, just to see how the flavor stood up. It was an intriguing flavor. I don't know that it is one I would drink every day, but it tasted just fine. It almost tasted like a pancake mixed with....honeycomb cereal? It's really hard to describe, but it was solid.
This morning, I had one scoop in two cups of f/f Greek yogurt, with two servings of French toast goldfish. This was AMAZING. It was the best bowl of sludge I've ever had. It was a crunchy, French toasty, syrup and waffly bowl if awesomeness that can only be described and godsend. This is where the powder shined, and I feel it will be best in oatmeal or baked goods.
I'll edit in some pictures as soon as photobucket will get its crap together.

The previous pics have been added.
Last night, I wanted some oatmeal, so I figured this would be a prime time tj let this protein shine. I used two packets of maple brown sugar lower sugar instant oats, one scoop of Waffles & Syrup, and a large banana.
It was incredible. Truly tasted like I was eating a nice waffle breakfast. HIT nailed this flavor, and it is very unique. Like u said before, I'm not sure yet I could use this day in and day out forever, but it would be an amazing occasional treat.Aspiring powerlifter.

I'm currently trying to get photobucket to agree with me. Today I made Waffles & Syrup....French toast? Haha. I used Chef Bob's recipe minus the toppings;
It turned out awesome! I topped it with walden farms but tried a few bites first, and I can honestly say I didn't really need the syrup. It really taste pretty sweet and syrup-y on its own. A+Aspiring powerlifter.

So today was one of those days where you just really don't want to eat chicken. Haha. During my lunch break, I ate some proats. I'm bulking, so I crammed a lot of goodies in. Two packets of maple and brown sugar oatmeal, one scoop of waffles and syrup, one pepperidge farm banana but bread cookie, one sliced banana, and Splenda and cinnamon to taste. This is seriously the best protein I've used for proats, and the taste is absolutely phenomenal. If you haven't tried it yet, you haven't had proats. Here's a picture:
Then, this afternoon I had a bit of sludge. I used a cup of fat free greek yogurt, one scoop of waffles & syrup, and a packet of Grandma's mini chocolate chip cookies.
