Cool What do you mix with your COttage CHEESE?

Ok, So today I had cottage cheese for the first time, before bed, because I heard that it stays in your system for a long time, so good before bed.

But IMO, the taste of it plain is terrible! I gagged a couple of times lol. I was wondering what you guys mixed it with to make it taste good/bearable?

I personally enjoy the taste of plain cottage cheese. However it can be mixed with either sweet or savory foods. Many people eat it with fruit (esp peaches) or preserves.
No sir, I don't like it.

I blend mine up with banana in a shake... also you can add a bit of Stevia or something to sweeten it and remove that sour taste. I still find Cottage cheese is hard to 'enjoy' lol

My mom eats her cottage cheese with apple sauce mixed. So I grew up eating it that way. I've noticed you have to put just the right amount otherwise it'll taste terrible. Especially if you use too much.

    Haha sounds good

OP: I also thought, if you puree cottage cheese to make it super smooth, you can use it to make a cheesecake... you will need to sweeten it somehow, stevia or something rather than sugar...

Couple packets of splenda and some cinnamon(just like with your oatmeal) and it's like some kind of dessert!

I even throw it in the freezer about an hour before eating and then it's like your almost eating some kind of healthy ice cream!!!

CC is great on its own, but I like to mix it with Dark Chocolate Dreams PB and throw in the freezer and make a sort of ice cream. If you don't have that, just mix regular PB and some chocolate syrup in there.

Last night I tried putting it in a food processor, whipping it till creamy, adding some frozen raspberries till they were fully pureed and then adding Splenda to taste. I tossed it in the freezer for about 20 minutes to chill (longer probably woulda been better). It gets very light and fluffy and doesn't taste like cottage cheese at all. The only problem was it wasn't as smooth as I would have liked; there was a little grittiness. Other than that it just tasted like a raspberry mousse.
