    Unnecessary knee surgery?

My doctor said I need my knee scoped but I can lift on it full tilt and run and jump and do all that good stuff with minimal pain and when I'm really focused in on a squat of clean I don't feel a thing. What I'm asking is, do I really need this thing scoped or could I put it off until after track season? I've read that minor cartilage tears will heal themselves in time and I'm almost positive that's what this is... Is my surgeon just trying to make a quick buck?

If its not bugging you while you push then sure wait till after your seasons over. Pro athletes do this all the time. If you can manage the pain wait until your off season to get services for it.
