    Whey+milk or water? (cut)

Im technically on a cut right now, upped the cardio alot trying to burn off some fat. Im still lifting hard, but going more intense and with some different workouts.

Do you guys on a cut take your Whey with milk or water? The milk would add more protein but also more calories, which is something you dont really want on a cut. But I know it tastes much worse with water....Which should I do?

Depends on if it fits the macros for that day. Thats all that matters out of taste or effect.

I would just say it depends on your overall macros. I successfully cut using milk in shakes 2 to 3 times a day earlier this summer.

Ok, thanks guys. Just dont know if the milk will benefit me enough to justify the extra calories. I hate to add uneeded calories if they are not helping me, ya know.

I would only mix it with milk in morning or post workout shakes, but not MRP's or in between meals. The reason is milk has alot of sugar in it which will spike your insulin, which is good after WO and in mornings but not so much just through out the day.

X2. Milk is 80% casein protein which is slow-digesting and takes up to 6hrs to digest, so if you take in the morning and post-workout, your body keeps getting delivered aminos until it's digested, whereas whey is digested within an hour.
