I am curious as to the different ways you can use unflavored gelatin..

I refuse to use it because of this:

colorless, odorless and flavorless mixture of proteins from animal bones, connective tissues and other parts

unless it's made from algae but I've never seen a product where it's been stated to I just refuse to use it.

it can be used in dessert recipes to attain a more thick/firm texture...
for example adding it to either pumpkin, cream cheese, cottage cheese, etc. when making a pie.
