    cheat-training for the 1 arm pull up

    oops i accidentally deleted the other thread so here's the info again. you don't need to spend 6 months getting these:

    1. buy lifting hooks
    http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/gl/hooks.html

    2. practice a few minutes every day just hanging on each extended arm. spread the pressure around between your wrist and fingers.

    start the hang slowly to reduce any spinning and use a thumb grip. start sideways if you have to.

    3. do the hanging work every day for about a week til you feel ok. then, just start pulling!

    4. if you're good, you can get the 1 arm pull ups in just 2 weeks. other guys will take longer.

    5. stop using the hooks. game over!

    well, if you believe weighted pull ups are good for bodybuilding, this could be like adding 80 lbs. in your case. it probably depends on your body.

    Out of curiousity, can you do a 1 arm pullup? Your weighted pullups are extremist.

    you can do more reps with the weights, that is interesting! i don't know why because i haven't been doing weighted much (i have added 16 or 40 lbs.)
