**-- My Year Round Diet--**
Ok so like some others around here i get a bunch of questions on diet as well. So ill try and sum it up in one post.
*** NOTE *** I am an extreme ecto, my body burns fat like nothing so this may not be advisable to you endo's
Ok so year round i eat pretty much the same stuff, i cheat once a weekend when i get my girl to make 2 trays of brownies which i devour in one sitting (somewhere in the range of 3500 cals) unless im in a leaning out phase.
I do not compete or even play any sports with any seriousness, just enjoy casual bodybuilding if you will.
I have either a bulking phase, or a leaning out phase. I wont call it cutting because i don;t really like to cut i think its a waste of muscle building time in my case because if i just drop to 3000-3500 cals and preform cardio i can lean out while usually maintaining the same weight. The one upside of being an ecto lol.
Ok so the staple of my diet is my shakes. I work 10 hours a day, but have the freedom to eat / cook whenever I please. So i make about 4 shakes a day, 2 for work, 2 for home. The shakes consist of
10 eggwhites
1 cup of oats
1 cup of water
3 teaspoons splenda
3 cups of milk (varies, sometimes low sugar chocolate, sometimes 2%)
1 scoop of greens (60 veg & fruit)
3 scoops of a weight gainer (currently Xtreme LEAN gainer or something of the sort which is an all in one of glut, creat, omega3s, vit n min)
I split that into two shakes that are roughly 60g protein, 120g carbs, 800 cals. I blend the oats before hand alone in the blender on low (a lot of people dont know how to blend oats into a shake and they all just sit at the bottom)
So my diet looks like
930am
1 Tub of low fat low sugar Yogurt (those big 650g ones)
Noon
1 1/2 8oz chicken breast shredded
2 cups of pasta
1 cup of homemade meat sauce
1:30pm
1L of low sugar chocolate milk
3pm
1 Shake
5pm
1 1/2 8oz chicken breast shredded
2 cups of pasta
1 cup of homemade meat sauce
630pm
Shake
715pm
Workout
830pm
Shake
930pm
1 1/2 8oz chicken breast shredded
2 cups of pasta
1 cup of homemade meat sauce
1030pm
1L low sugar chocolate milk
1130pm
Shake
Totals from fitday, 5900 cals, 460g protein.
Thats a regular day for me. I mass prepare all the food with the help of my amazing girl on the weekend. BBQ about 14 chicken breasts, she makes the meat sauce and i have a stack of giant tupperware lol. My Costco membership paid for itself on my first trip :P. Thats what i eat unless im trying to lean down. If im trying to do that i replace the weight gainer in the shake with just straight Whey, and i take out all the chocolate milk and also the pasta from the last meal.

Shakes taste is "ok" lol to be honest. Depends on the flavor of weight gainer, and sometimes i add a bunch of frozen fruits.
As one of my fav quotes from sean sherk "i dont eat for taste, i eat for preformance"

Run my own ups store that i half own. Im there 10 hours a day, and basically you just have to serve people when they come in, which even in this downtown store is once every 20min and sometimes hours go by with no one. 9am - 7pm and i have a blender / microwave / fridge and endless internet lol. its basically like im chillin at home but every once and a while i gotta ship some guys bogus lotto letter to the US.
