If that was my job I would..
It's just crazy 12k in cals a day and it's a lot of food us "Losing Fat" posters call junk!
Just goes to show you that the harder/longer you train the more you body can take in that type of food!

Well think about how much a strain his olympic competition puts on his mind and body. He is burning so much calories each hour.
He needs all that just to sustain his energy level and his strength.
But yeah that's a lot of calories.

You can't convince me that he NEEDS 12,000 calories a day. 12,000 calories would fuel a full day of nonstop swimming.
I guess he's just one of those people who doesn't really put on fat no matter what he eats.

For sure he doesnt burn 12000 calories a day.. , but look he train everyday do lots of week swimming hours , and he is 19!! so go figure how his metabolism is.

swimming for a long time is hard as hell. I swim for 20 mins and am WIPED! He swims 5 hours a day, I believe he needs every one of those calories

Most people's idea of swimming is playing in the pool, not going balls out full on swimming for hours.... all you nay sayers should jump in a pool and do 15 lap non stop as hard/ fast as you can and see if your opinions changes...
