at 150ish body weight i went from 235 to 260 in 12 months.
i think i could have done more under different circumstances though. i lift 3 times a week without fail, but i got work/school both full time and the family. if i had a little more time to train i think i could have gotten a good 50lbs at least naturally. i doubt 100 though.

I was around 315 at the end of last summer, trained really ****ty all school year and ended up at 215x7 the beggining of this summer, barely 245x3. A conservative estimate would be 325 -335 right now raw so with muscle memory 80 pounds in three months? Though its obviously not the same as actually increasing your bench by 80 pounds..

benching (and other lifts of course) for a year now. Gains?
from too weak to lift 135 or 2 45s on the bar once/max to my last workout was 3x5 170..don't know what my max gain was but at least 50-60 pounds i'm guessing? There are no shortcuts. The fact that a shortcut is important to you means that you are a pussy.

I don't understand how the hell people manage to improve their bench press as much as they have. I've been lucky to maybe have put 60lbs on my 5 rep bench press on a good day since I've started benching. My other lifts have shot through the roof but bench has always been my weak point.

Remember you way around 160 pounds. Lifters who weigh more are more likely to experience bigger noob gains as well as a lengthened period of general pound increases. Your comparisons are better served by paying more attention to posters who are closer to your bodyweight. Comparing your progress to lifters above 200 pounds is misleading.
