Weighted Vest
I am looking to invest in a weighted vest and want to make sure I get a quality one. I was wondering what kind of experience you have had with them!
Any recommendations?? Brand/Type?
Thanks!

pm TE on what he recommends. I know he likes to do the bleachers with a 20lb'er on.

www.weightvest.com. I've done research and they are the best quality - I'm going to order the 75lb short next month.

The weight you get really depends on what you want to do while wearing it, imo.
I got a $50 20lb one from Walmart, the "gold's gym" brand. It fits pretty well, with little movement. more movement than I'd like for jogging, but perfect for running stadium steps.
I live in FL so there's really nowhere to hike to justify getting a heavy one for me, much less spend $250 or more on it.
imo, I wouldn't get a really heavy one as I'd be afraid of getting too comfortable while wearing it & end up hurting my back.

I looked at the MIRs too - they seemed ok.
I'm planning on tapering-up the weight: starting at 10-15 lbs then adding 5 each week to let my heart/muscles adjust. Might have to give it more time, but I'm planning on wearing it for my entire workout.(~1.5 hrs. Cardio + weights) Should be interesting.
