As most of the OV35 here know I had a f'ck up car accident last year (young kid ate a light in a stolen car and side swiped me) and did some serious damage to me. I was in a wheel chair for sometime and the docs told me I would never walk again. My pelvis was crushed, my ribs fractured, a punctured lung, my neck twisted and sprain and left clavicle broken. I went through hell last year but with my faith in God and my determination I not only walked but I went back to the gym.
I could not even lift the pole on any of my lifts but the worst was my ability to squat, it was gone. I squatted but my pelvis and back never felt the same.
Although in pain I managed to regain some size within 3 months of training (I lost 40lbs due to the accident) but the pain in my pelvis kept interfering with my workouts yet I managed. I know most have seen these pictures but I just want to show what I accomplished after my accident and working out in pain. Started with the pole on squats and worked my way to 275lbs for 5 reps, with pelvis/lower back pain.
I had surgery on the 27th of June to remove the pressure on my pelvis and back (worst surgery ever I was awake)
And now for the first time since my accident I am 100% pain free. I am going to start training and dieting Monday. I will, once again start my journal. If I accomplished what I did in three months of training starting from the pole with all the pain I had to endure, I want to show everyone what you can do training pain free, F'ck age, I am 44 and I feel f'cking great!
I hope you guys will visit my journal as it is going to be as hardcore as it gets, I promise you this...

Thanks man, LOL yeah man age is an excuse for the weak.
Thanks Berg!
Wolv I am going to go all out man, on the real. I am amped up, pain free is awesome!
Ohh without a doubt, When I myself am not training I really don't have much to add in people journals so I stay away. I do read them though all the time..
It sure is and it goes to show you not even doctors are always right.
It is going to be a whole new ball game!
It is what it is man, no time to complain, that doesn't get you anywhere...On the list for Bannukah

A step backwards is better than a setback.
If this (insert whatever trivial thing that is upsetting me) is the worst thing to happen today, I'm going to have a great day.

Very nice, bro. Glad to sea you finally start to put a very bad time in your life in the past and move beyond.
I have more than a passing acquaintance with difficult situations in my life and can relate to your pain and suffering.
Support and encouragement by family and friends have saved my life more once.
I'm sure you'd agree that they are necessary for almost any chance at recovery."When we were children, we used to think that when we grew up we would no longer be vulnerable. But to grow up is to accept vulnerability, to be alive is to be vulnerable." Madeleine L'Engle

Starts Monday, I need to stack up on "bodybuilding" food.
Hope to contribute more to the journals as well!
Yup spoon and all
Yes I will put up videos of my lift, I was once asked by a prestigious member here, if I could really squat 500lbs at my bodyweight. To which I said well actually 495lbs but yeah I want to get back to that. So if I do I want the video behind it as well.
Agree 100%...On the list for Bannukah

dang...I have to cook for myself. I just grilled a pound of turkey burgers and 3 lbs of chicken. Later I have a few slices of pork loin just for a change...and some steak.....also cooked about 8 cups of rice today. SO meals for next week are almost done. Maybe a few talapia fillets need to be thrown in there.
