    Scrummie2's PLATEAU-BUSTING CONTEST

Here's how this works, this should be fun. I'm going to lay out the choices, you guys vote, and I will DO the top vote getter for the next three weeks and track progress here. I'm disciplined as hell with this stuff, my log/fitday attests to that.

I'm on a big plateau right now. GOAL was to get to 200 by 4 Sept, that's probably not going to happen (and I don't mind either way, as as I've dropped weight it's become obvious that I'll need to get down to probably 195 or so to be where I want to be, I'm thinking my BF% is lower than it really is) but I leave for home on 4 September and want to end the last 3 weeks on a good, positive cutting note.

I've been at 210-212 for 6 weeks now. For the first 2 weeks of the plateau I was at normal ranges for the rest of my cut (2200 cals a day)...for two weeks I tried dropping them down to 1800-2100/day, then spent the last two weeks eating almost at maintenance/just below at around 2900-3100 cals/day.

    CURRENT STATS:

    Weight: 212
    BF: Around 15%
    Waist: 36"
    Chest: 44"
    Arms: 16.5"
    Thighs: 25.5"

BMR is 2045, with Harris equation of 1.55 = 3170.

Split is a five day, with two days off/week, thrown in after either the 2nd or 3rd day. I had been shooting for 4-5 cardio sessions/week of 30 minutes.

I've based the choices on the type of advice we see around here/what I know is an option based on my past research. Vote away, and let's see what works! If my metabolism was tweaked from all the cutting it should be back to normal now after two weeks of regular eating.

I've left it open where you can check more than one option in the poll, but please do so ONLY to check the CHEAT DAY option if you select either 1 or 2. POLL will be open for 1 day.

ALSO, here is my fitday for food tracking: http://www.fitday.com/WebFit/PublicJ...wner=scrummie2

Macros are 45/35/25 protein/carbs/fats. Keto not an option out here as I have no way to get non-carb food outside of set mealtimes, nor any way to store it if I take it to hoard it.

I voted for the cheat option. Go low on the calories (1800-200) and have that cheat day as a re-feed basically. If you can do your job on 1800-2000 cals, go for it. Nothing like a good ole fashioned calorie defecit to make the body burn the fat. I think the fact that it's a big shift from approx. 3000 cals could be the shock you need to bust this thing, or I could be way off and your body will just fight harder to keep what you have.

Good thing this is a poll huh? Haha.

I wanted to try super-low cals anyway, so the voting is good. I'll take in 2300 and cardio off 350 to get into the 1800-2000 zone methinks. Just going to let the meals get really boring for the last 3 weeks.

I voted for the slight drop in calories. Looking at your height/weight, to me it looks like it's just time to move it down a little. As you lose, you know you have to adjust to make that deficit.

But...I'll tell you this. I got stuck at 206 for 3 months solid. No cheating. I made no changes. When the scale moved, it moved big! I was only in the 190's for two days! They were almost non-existent.

The scale owes you, and will pay in due time if you just keep making healthy, good choices in your diet and exercise plans!

    Good luck!
If I can do it, anyone can!

Slight drop has it. I will do that and start logging in here. Intake target: 2500-2600/day. Since only 22% of total votes cast were for cheat day, no refeed.
