Transition from bb to pl?
Okay, well Im currently about 150ish, 5'6" and around 11-12%bf and was planning on bulking to around 180. But recently I have been debating on starting Pl. Im new to pling/strength training, I have been always training for size. I would like to continue with my weight but I would like to be leaner, maybe single digit bf at 155 or so?. I guess I really don't know anything about pling, such as diet, routine (heavy squat, bench etc.)
Also opinions if I should continue my bulk, then cut with str/pl training, or just start pl ASAP.
Help is needed

I don't do much bb bench, I focus on 3x10 db, maybe I should change it up.
My squat and dl are 5x5. sometimes 3x5 depends how I feel.
Failed on a new max dl, tried for 325 today, I din't want to seriously hurt my back so I let off.

step 1: remove phrases like "%BF" and "cutting" from your vocab.

write us your exact daily diet please. do you weigh all your food or eye ball? I used to think i took in 6,000 and after actually starting to track every single tiny part i realized it was more like 3,000. People don't take in 4 grand and weigh 155 for more than 10 minutes

if you want to be 155 and in the single digits BF and still get strong. Good luck with that. This sport is about moving a ****load of weight. At your height there is nothing wrong with be a 168er or other light weight class, but dont try to be 8% and do it, it'll just be too hard. You need to bulk and get stronger. If you are just doing this for fun fine, but if you want to compete and do something in powerlifting, your going to need to dedicate yourself to it, its not a sport for halfassers. Really anaylze yourself and see if you just want to get strong, or if you really want to be a high level competitor in PLing. I think you need to decide this then get back to us.

My friends. My family. I ask of you one final time to gather before me.
Tonight we shall leave this earth as legends. Our only way to never die.
This will be our requiem.
In the company of death we walk side by side.
Cast your differences aside for the lives sacraficed.
I ask one final time to unite.
Earn the right to stand with pride.
We are in the company of death.

Starting Strength and 5x5 are the best lead ins to powerlifting for someone with a bodybuilding background.
Good luck, ask as many questions as you need.
