**Round 2: Kristi's Ready to get in Shape & STAY in Shape**
Heeeyyyyyy! My name is Kristi, I am 24 years old!! And I'm starting a new log to get back in shape!
Ok I am starting over basically from a year or so ago.
I had a log to get in shape from spring break 07, and I had lost about 25 lbs.
Well since (may '07) I have gone to the gym off and on but not consistantly enough to keep my weight loss, I know I'm a slacker!!!
I was at 153 lbs, and now I am back to 167, which is about 10 lbs less then when i started originally.
I fell back into going out and being with my friends and drinking, and not eating as well and hardly working out at all, but maybe a couple times a week if that.
I have been thinking and tryin to get back into the swing of things alot lately. I visited my bodyspace this week and was looking at the progress pics and that modivated me even more. I know i can do this but i just need some support and direction. It helped last year making a log, so i know it will do it again. I like to be able to track my diet, workouts and progress while getting feedback from someone other then my boyfriend, even though he's the one who got me started on this in the first place. I see him going to the gym almost everyday and that also helped me decide to get back into it!
I am also going to Florida in March on the 14th, and I'd like to look amazing. That is 31 weeks away, it is a long time, but i figure it better to start now then too late and not stick with it!!
Current Stats:
*Weight: 167 lbs
*Thigh: 25.5 inches
*Arm: 12 inches
*Stomach: 40.5
*Hips: 42.5
I do not have my bf% as of right now...
My ultimate goal:
To get back into shape. Tone up. Get down to about 130 lbs or so...
Workout
I usually do cardio, on the elliptical for about 30-60 mins at least 2 a week, as of right now...
But I will be going to the gym 5 days or more now!!
I also usually just train my legs cause its the only thing i really know how to do by myself, but i'll be using some of the machines for my back, arms etc...
Diet
Breakfast:
2 eggs
2 egg whites
1 slice 2% cheese
1 c milk
1 scoop whey protein
Snack:
Fiber One bar
Lunch:
Usually a south beach diet thing
lite&fit yogurt
Snack:
carrots
2 tbsp nat crunchy pb
Dinner:
Something w/ chicken or 94% lean beef
Here is a few pics I took this morning after I ate and went to the gym at 5:45 am
**You can check out my bodyspace or other log for progress pics from the past**

Well, you want to start out at the highest amount of calories you can while still seeing results... If you go too low at first, you can end up reaching a plateau at that level, which isn't good You want to leave room to be able to lower calories as you lose more fat. If you go to this site, there's a way to figure out approximately how many cals you should be taking in for fat loss.
It doesn't seem intuitive, I know!! I started out with only 1200 calories and saw minimal changes for a while until I INCREASED my calories significantly!

Hi and welcome! I agree with VB about the calorie intake. I would say 1700 to get started depending on how active you are. Do you lift weights as well??
Also I noticed on your breakfast you have like 64g of protein.... I think you should spread that out a little. Your breakfast looks like two meals! Maybe do the eggs and cheese for meal 1 and then do the protein shake and bagel/peanut butter for a meal 2... just a suggestion.
I'll be following

I don't usually lift weights on my own, just when i do legs.
Yeah breakfast is big, cause im really hungry after my workout.
I have tried to just eat the eggs for breakfast then by the time i get to work at 8 i get hungry again already and am ready to eat again.
I have been eating my breakfast at 630 and w/ the big meal i dont get hungry again till about 930. then i eat my snack and dont have to eat again till 1130 when i go to lunch.
