Its like anything else with turbo...it will ride normal until you crack the throttle and the boost kicks in....on the purple busa there he had a digital boost gauge on the handlebars and that bitch would go all the way up to 40....the bike had an 8 inch stretch and he had the front tied down too...he took that bike out on every wed night to our bike meet and it was 45 miles one way and then back....he was 225 on that thing easily..
I myself own a busa and when i rode with him and he had the red turbo bike, i had the needle at 180 and he went by me like i was going backwards.....turbo bikes are absolutely insane when they are done right...im not talking about tubro bikes with 220 horse, im talking about 500 horse

no point arguing with some people man
obviously a modded Mustang will outhandle a Lotus, outrun at top speed a 220+mph Porsche, out corner a BMW E30, and be more comfy and classy than an M5 or an M6/ SL 65 AMG etc
you just cant argue with some idiots
either way, I would rather have them drive their civics, 5.0s, cummaros, etc
and I will drive my BMWs instead, its nice when a chick sits in and the nice interior and quality starts getting those panties offEX YU Mafia #1 ----Cant Touch Us----

Speeds were done on the highway...we had really really long straightaways on brand new highways and you could see for a few miles...no traffic, just crack the throttle and hold the F*ck on...its a lot different doing those speeds on a bike since the acceleration is so much faster....
i watched him race that turbo busa agains his buddies 900 horse supra....the busa ate it alive...but the supra eats up r1's and all other 1000s like nothing..

Well, I'm sober now so I guess I'll join in the little bull**** chat y'all got going here.
First, the term "ricer" is generally associated with the crowd who thinks their car is better than everybody else's. Generally, they are seen with neon lights, horrible sounding exhaust, etc. etc...y'all get the drift. They are normally in the Import scene, but can be anywhere, driving anything.
Also, I said it while I was in a drunken state of mind and I'll say it again now...I'd say a solid 95% of this site doesn't know how an automobile operates, or how an internal combustion motor makes power, or how the driveline takes that power, and puts it down to the ground to propel the car forwards and backwards. I'd also say a solid 95% of this site doesn't truly know why a Maserati/Lambo/Ferrari/ETC. costs so much.
Now, going off that...anything can be made classy, anything can be made to handle good, anything can be made to do anything you want. You just got to know how to do it . A little bank-roll doesn't hurt, either.
BUT, there is a reason why drag racing is primarily dominated by domestic made vehicles, and why many road racing events are dominated by imported vehicles. It's because of the different national traditions.
That, and the fact that the chances of seeing any imported engine running in Pro Stock or any of the Top Fuel categories, or competing in any real drag racing catergory for that matter, are about the same chances as seeing a 800+ci mountain motor being the engine of choice for top road racing teams.
However, the LSX. The LSX. That just sounds great saying, it's like a fucking mouth orgasm. LSX. LSX. Damn. That's a whole other animal. It lives in a world of it's own."Courage without a conscience is a wild beast."-Robert G. Ingersoll

Looks like mine! only my valve cover is green and i have a gt35r .85 with modified housing sitting on top of a tomei manifold
mmmm mmmm tasty.
as for the topic of discussion...HA. It's the haters like you that give the car scene a bad name. Import haters, domestic haters, euro haters whatever, your just as damn bad as jimbob down the road with the body kitted sunfire. I hate on everyone equally. I drive an import, hell my job practically revolves around nissan however I like domestics. They have their spotlight in the motorsport industry I do in fact like them. But, I'll hate on and talk **** upon anyone thats an idiot ****, I don't give two ****s about what they drive. I ****ing hate the douche bag mustang owners. Driving around like they own a ****ing race car trying to pull on me every chance they get because i drive "a rice burning piece of ****" albeit a 600hp rice burning piece but whatever. The same can be said for evo owners or pretty much any other car owner for that matter. Theres always that percentage of ass bags in every make and model. And I'll just throw it out there right now, next motor in one of my S chassis is going to be an LS motor, yep, can we say domination?Last edited by shift_destroy; 08-06-2008 at 06:58 PM.

What sort of curcuit racing are we talking? In the southern SCCA, I'm seeing a lot of people moving towards the SBC/LSX platform for their engines and drivetrains. Simple fact, flatter torque curves and more light-weight.
But no, they'll never compete seriously."Courage without a conscience is a wild beast."-Robert G. Ingersoll

I dont see the argument at all.....I blown 502 whining away and putting down gobs of hp and tq gets me just as hard as say Mazda's amazing BP with ITB's spinning at 9k tearing up a road course.
I LOVE cars, and have been building cars since I was 9. To me a true car enthusiast will respect any well put together automobile, whether it was made in brazil or in ****ing antarctica. A car is a car is a car.....4 wheels and an engine.

Like J Howard said, its NATIONAL TRADITIONS....
You idiots comparing American /Japs/ and Euros is like comparing Apples and Oranges.........they ALL have their Advantages and Disadvantages....although you can modify ANY car to beat ANY other car.....DOESNT MATTER WHO MAKES IT OR WHERE IT COMES FROM, BOTTOM ****ING LINE.
Its like arguing if Ford, Chevy or Dodge is better....everyone has their preferences.....but NOONE is right!
If one car manufacturer truly was better than another.....why are they BOTH still alive and kicking?
I prefer muscle cars myself, i grew up drag racing and street racing...its just an AMERICAN THING!
Now i work at a circuit racetrack which is mostly consumed by Ferraris,Porsches, f1, Spec 3's, superbikes of EVERY CLASS.....
I dont drag race anymore, now im getting into circuit racing.
I have a 1994 mustang, and im modifying it to run at the track..
(drag racing relies on pure TQ and HP, and anti-squat suspension, and slicks.)
(circuit racing relies heavily on suspension and handling characteristics, weight reduction...power is the LAST thing on the list.)
Although i see mostly European cars at the track, I DO see a fair share of american cars......usually Corvettes, Shelbys, Mustangs, and Camaros.
And those 4 cars have excellent suspension from the factory, that's why they are used....and they are easy to control and feel the spin-out threshold......and they all have advanced stages of suspension upgrades available.
The Z06's honestly outhandle a majority of the Porsches and other cars I see on the track. And the Mustangs do very excellent too.....considering they are cars usually made to drag race.
Typically the 90's mustangs tend to handle better on circuit courses than any other year.....usually, not always.
They are longer like the Porsche 944's, and have heavy Sway Bars and suspension, and the car glues to the track very well.....even though mustangs are considering to have "truck-like" suspension by many....
I wasnt very impressed by some of the ferraris I saw, nor the Miatas....they are constantly breaking traction and going off the line and off the sides.
Alot of the modified cars are better than factory Ferraris and Lambos....
The reason you pay top dollar for a Ferrari or Aston Martin is because your paying for the Name....your paying for extremely lightweight materials....your paying for and incredibly complex and effiecient engine thats designed to squeeze every last drop of HP out that engine with minimal loss. Alot of the designs are rare and so are the materials used. Its a very custom car.
Something like that can cost 100k-2 million easily.
While at the same time, you can take a mustang or firebird, or Honda, shed 200lbs off the car, drop in a new engine or rebuild, replace tranny, replace the rear end, install a stage 2 or 3 suspension upgrade, install roll cages and stiffen up the chassis, get track tires.......and your only breaking around $30k or more...or maybe even less.
get on the track, you could stomp the **** out of most factory ferraris and other sports cars.
But what REALLY matters most is THE DRIVER....
If you cant drive....I dont give a **** WHAT you got....you aint gonna win!
Just the way it goes!!!Last edited by BigHulkHogan; 08-06-2008 at 07:18 PM.

x2...
If it's a nice car, done with class and style, it's a sweet ride no matter WTF it is...
And I think a good deal of you knock vehicles that you've never driven. You may not like it's style, paint, make, model, etc...but if you haven't driven it, who are YOU to disparage said vehicle's performance...especially if you are going by what some magazine, book, newspaper, internet article, etc..said...
I've driven everything from a Fiat's to Ferrari's....and there is something to be said for all...
