I've been considering doing the Nspire NSL shows. Lee Thompson was the NPC Texas chairman and ifbb head judge, he started his own thing. The show i'm thinking of doing is in March 2016 and could get my Masters Pro Card with his federation. NPC masters i would have to do that show a few times to "earn" a better chance of winning. A good friend of mine did the show 6 times before he finally got his ifbb masters pro card. and at about $3,000 a show it aint worth it in my book. ($3,000 is total cost to enter show, npc membership, hotel, travel etc)

I've done a couple of NPC bodybuilding shows in Texas and Oklahoma. I won my novice class a couple of years ago, so now have to compete in the open classes. Last shows was the NPC Independence Day in Dallas...got 4th in the open middles. Being lifelong skinny, I was pretty happy with how I looked; I still have a ways ago to fill out my frame. For 2016, I'd like to take a stab at the Masters Nationals in July for the experience of doing a masters show. 30 weeks to go.

Thinking of doing my first competition (physique) but have a few questions.
What are the benefits of having a coach?
Is there somewhere online that lists upcoming shows for a given area?
I'm moving to start a new job in October so I likely won't actually be stepping on any stages this fall but I'd like to get a head start thinking about maybe some shows in the spring.
Tips and suggestions welcome. Will be reading as much of this thread/section as I can as well."One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

coaches will handle not only ur diet and weights portion of prep, but they would also assist u in posing which can make or break your placing

it depends if you want to compete in a drug test organization or not.
npcnewonline.com shows all contest going on in the npc (not drug test)
if your looking for a natty competition close to your area, just google natural bodybuilding federation on google and a list should pop up. hope this helps-#TeamBramble #GetFitOrDie

yeah I definitely need help on all things posing/competition. As well as leading up to peak week. How do I find a good coach though? Seems like a lot of so called "coaches" are out there nowadays. Will be looking in the North Baltimore area
As for the comps themselves yes I'm thinking natural to start off. So I will google natural bodybuilding federation and look into those.
Since NPC is not drug tested I assume I wouldn't have much of a chance without getting into that? Not ruling that out in the future but probably not a good idea starting out.
Thanks for the info man."One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow.
