ok i know this girl named brittany T. i have no idea what is wrong with her. She has "loved" this guy for 3 years. He treats her like crap and controls everything she does. He had sex with 6 other girls while they were "dating"(he just said she could not date and made her promise her virginity to him). He has actually hit her but she goes through the same cycles over and over again. She "loves" him then he ****s up and hurts her she gets mad but in about a week she goes running back. Is this normal wtf?

Unfortunately there are many women like that and it's very sad. Her low self esteem is causing her to go back to her abuser and there is not much people can do. Maybe someone can than talk to her with love and respect so that she can start loving herself a little bit? These kind of relationships are kind of an addiction and when she hits bottom is when she'll realize that she needs to get out.

I agree with all the ladies above.

It is a self esteem problem and you develop a dependency on the drama for attention. I was like her. Not something I like to admit, but I've dealt a lot with my part in letting my ex abuse me. You can't force her to leave. It's not something I can explain and I'm not trying to justify it by any means but you develop this bond, as corrupted as it is. It's a mutation of love.
Looking back I was in survival thinking mode. It wasn't until the police got involved that I saw a way out. I had just accepted the fact that he was going to kill me and I was taking it day by day doing what I needed to do to stay alive. My situation was more serious/involved than hers is though.

Good luck. Be there for her. Keep a record of every time you see her bruised and things that happen. It is pretty much the only way you (not being a professional) can help her in the long run.

people find refuge and comfort in what they get used to healthy or not. she needs to break away and out
