5x5 training too specific?
Im thinking about beginning a 5x5 intermediate, but I did 5x5 a while ago and found that.... its just way too specific with its parameters....
just how you increase weight every week and stuff, and have to use that damn calculator... i dunno if thats my thing
any other routines where you can just like GO without doing all this pre-routine bull****? do you guys know of any?

Just do it, it shouldnt take very long once u get used to it. Or even take 30min. one day and find out all the weights for the week

at our school we have a nice chart that shows what weight per set at what reps we should use depending on our max. im sure theres something like it somewhere on the internet
it kinda looks like this ( for 225 bench )
4 sets of 5 repetitions
Max - 225 ---- | 160 | 170 | 180 | 190 |

5x5 only made me get a injury due to muscle strain... i prefer my 8-10 reps, and the only time ill switch to 5x5 is to get over a platque and then right back to my regula lifting

5x5 is great for building a good strength and size base before moving on to a more specific routine

i just dont think 5x5 is for everyone.... for beginners no matter who its good cause thats when your going through your biggest jump in your lifts and you start out way lower than your actual potential
but when your moving up in your lifts slowly 5x5 can help abit but if you do it too long its very stressing on your body, expecially when your straining for that extra rep it takes a toll on your body
alittle ectomorph like me its not designed for, meso n endo's i think joints/tendons r just stronger n can go without injury so easily.. as stupid as that sounds its just what i think cause ive had 2injuries since this year because of the 5x5 n im scared to go back for any long period of time
