    Dieting and Joint Pain

I've been on a very low fat diet for quite some time now, trying to lean up from being a fatty.
It worked quite well, and I'm near completion (October 31st), however, my knees have taken quite a beating from walking on the treadmill so much, and I've switched to seated bike about 3 weeks ago, it helped for a bit with my ankles but my knees still hurt.
I'm supplementing with fish oils, and that's basically the main source of fat that I get. A few grams per day max...
    1) IS this the DIRECT cause of my joint pain?
    2) If so, what should I do without having to consume fat
    3) If not, what should I do period.

    Thanks in advance.

    1) Possibly, but doubtful. It's more likely the result of just what you said, beating yourself up on the treadmill.

    2) Fish oil is great. You may also want to try a blend of Glucosamine/Chondroitin. Many of these sups also have other additives in hopes of relieving joint pain.

    3) See above.
