One Thousand Mondays

"I'll start on Monday"

"It's the weekend, best to enjoy it and get back into training on Monday"

"I feel to hungover, ah well I can start again next Monday, may as well just eat **** for the rest of the week"

Just some of the things I have thought to myself. In actual fact I am considering writting a book with the title 1000 Mondays. I think about all the times I have told myself that I will change something for the better on Monday. WTF is with Monday anyway, its the worst day of the week - back at work, gym is full of people like myself that promised they would get back into it after the weekend...

Well last week I said "F**K MONDAY! and started training on Saturday. There isnt a need to go into the specifics of my diet and training program as at this stage as I am so far overweight that any activity and a mildy healthy diet will get me started.

I jumped on the scales today to find out if my week of hard work had paid off any - it had - a drop of 2.2kg. Dont worry, Im cracking out the bubbly just yet and I know its all water wait etc etc etc, however, its a small amount of encouragement that something is happening and my body is responding to my training.

I'm in a **** situation, I've been the highest of highs and lowest of lows. I've been somewhat cut and somewhat morbidly obese. In someways I am lucky I have such a large broad frame that holds excess weight well.

Anyways, enough of a ramble, I've started at 111.2kg (for anyone still in the dark ages just google the conversion) and am currently at 109kg. I'll be back to show you pics and let you know how it all goes.

Remember - start now, not on Monday.

i was in this rut once too. the bottom line is... if you really want to lose weight.. you *will* keep trying to start on a monday because that makes the most sense. and if you are dedicated to losing weight, eventually, one monday will be *that* monday. i had my first monday, and never looked back from there.

Good man,

I too took about 3 months to actually get started but now 3 months further down the line and 32lbs down of pure fat I wish I had done it sooner so I was ripped for the summer.
