Question BCAA's - How much do they help?

    Hey all,

Quick question. Your opinion on BCAA's? Are they a "must have" or a waste of money? I'm currently taking MuscleMilk, Creatine and Glutamine. Will the BCAA's really assist much with protein synthesis? I'm a hard gainer and looking to try something to assist in helping to grow muscle. Any advice? Thanks!

i'm a hardgainer and i'm starting to believe what other ppl are saying about all the extra BCAA hype. Glutamine by itself helps me just as much as taking a BCAA product for recovery. i'm currently on my 4th tub of Xtend and thinking about just going back to plain Glutamine when finished.

BCAA's i believe are the most essential supp for muscle building, although no supp is essential because thats all it is, a supplement to your diet. But BCAA's are #1 for muscle growth man.

they certainly have their place bro.If you are on any kind of budget at all then probably not a big deal.If you are eating a good meal at least an hr before training you will have a steady supply of aminos.I like a bcca product during my workout or after sometimes. They can also be good for long days i.e. lots of work, school etc...drink bccas mixed with crystal l ight or gatorade.

Thanks for the advice! I picked up some BCAA's today from GNC. Planned to take a dose before my workout and then immediately after with my protein shake.
