Thanks for posting.

Note: We had to remove the n-carbamylglutamate (NCG) due to some issues with the FDA. With that being said by no means was it the main ingredient in the product. You will be very pleased.

MY GENERAL INFO

Age:
24

Height:
5'4"

Weight:
176

Measurements:
Arms: 18"
Legs: 26.5"
Waist: 30"

The rest of my measurements are listed in my Bodyspace

Training Experience:
Lifting for ~10yrs... BB'ing for ~2 yrs

Current Training Schedule:
My own 8 - 12 Day Rotation

Day 1: Chest and Back A or B
Day 2: Legs, Calves, and Abs A or B
Day 3: Shoulders and Arms A or B

A and B workouts vary in exercise selection and the order that exercises and bodyparts are performed.

Each muscle group is worked every 4 to 6 days, shooting for every 5 days. The frequency that I work muscles varies due to plans and recovery I listen to my body. I have no set day for anything even complete off days. I never work out more than 3 days in a row and try to take no more than 1 day of rest from weights. I usually train 1-2 days in a row with weights. I never work any part of the upper body 2 days in a row. You will not see me do shoulders and arms the day after chest and back or vice versa. You need rest to grow and that includes muscles that were worked indirectly.

Cardio:
Cardio is performed for 45 minutes PWO on Chest and Back/Shoulders and Arms days and serves as a warm-up for 15 minutes on Leg days. On off Days cardio is performed generally for 45-60 minutes and I take one full day a week off from training and cardio.

Current Supplements:
APS Plamagen Nitrate: see below for dosing
Scivation Xtend: WO days: 1 scoop with meal 1; 2 scoops during WO; and 1 before bed; non-WO days: 1 scoops before bed
Primaforce Lean Green: 1 cap with meal 1 and 1 cap one hour preWO
Primaforce Caffeiene Tabs: 1 tab with meal 1
******** Bulk L-Leucine: 2 grams in between meals; 4 - 6 grams during long workouts, and 6 - 10 grams PWO
Primafoce Beta-Alanine: 1 gram PWO
Primaforce Creaform: 5 grams PWO
Scivation Knockout: 3 tabs before bed
Scivation Vanilla Whey: 1 scoop for Meal 3, and one scoop PWO or before bed on non-WO days
Now Adam Multi: 1 tab before bed

Current Diet:
~2,000 - ~2,600 cals (Slow Cut): ~2,400 - ~2,600 cals on WO days and ~2,000 - ~2,300 cals on non-WO days

Macros are spread over 5 - 6 meals. ~30-40% Protein, ~15-20% Fat, and ~45-55% Carbs. I shoot for about 200 grams Protein, 40-60 grams of Fat, and 300+ grams of Carbs.

1 - 2 cheat meals per week on weekends with a small - medium size portion and 1 - 2 cheat desserts per week on weekends of a small portion size. Alcoholic beverages can be considered cheat meals but are within moderation.

Dosing:
APS Plasmagen Nitrate = 4 caps six hours preWO, 10 caps 45 minutes prior to workout, and 6 caps in one sitting on off days.

Just to note when posting my workouts you will notice my weight on chest exercises is down compared to my stats and previous workout logs.

I partially tore my right pec 4 months ago. I have slowly built my weight up until about a month ago. I am more than likely going to stick with the same weights for the entire log until September to ensure my pec fully heals and I do not re-injure it. I am going to the orthopedic surgeon in 2 weeks. I want his opinion on bumping up my weight on chest exercises before I do it. I am playing this one safe.

So if you see I am CG Beching more then flat benching that is the reason haha and there is no reason to point it out.

Comments
Awesome workout. This workout is more quad focused and they were rockin' for sure.

Plasmagen Nitrate Critique:

Stength
Stength seemed better than normal, but could have been mental since it was my first day on Plasmagen Nitrate.

Energy
Energy was better than usual despite PN not being a stimulant based PreWO product.

Endurance/Stamina
Eundurance/Stamina was incredible despite PN not being a stimulant based PreWO product.

Pumps
pump/focus and being able to feel the muscle worked was greater than normal.

Recovery
My legs are not as sore as usual. Recovery between sets seemed better.

Fat Loss
TBD

Thoughts
I am not sure if it is possible Plasmagen Nitrate kicked in so quicky or it is just the placebo effect/being excited to take the product. To be honest I was not expecting much because it was the first day and I have been taking PreWO products (VasoCharge and Shock Therapy) for the past month. That could be the reason I feel the effect too. It is way too early to tell though. Everything is going well aside from the fact the 10 pills PreWO is a lot to put down.

I do not include warm-up sets in my workout logs. I think that it can get confusing for someone trying to understand rep schemes I am using. I do not remeber exact weights or reps for warm-ups either. The warm-up sets are not taken any where close to failure and they do not tax the muscle much at all so I do not feel it necessary to include them as part of my workout.

In general the first exercise I perform for each muscle I do 2 - 4 warm-up sets. The second exercise 1 - 3 warm-up sets and the third and so on 1 - 2 warm-up sets.

I believe warm-ups are crucial especially aftering tearing my pec.

Lightbulb

I plan on posting some unofficial starting pictures tonight or tomorrow that are about 10 days old and in a different lighting and place than my official ones that will be taken.

Hopefully I will have official starting pictures at my house by the end of the weekend so I can use the same room/lighting for my ending pictures. In that case true differences will be more visible.

My avi pic is very recent only about 10 days old to give an idea of how I currently look.

Comments
I had a very good workout today. I feel more amped up to go to the gym than usual. I was supposed to perform Behind the Neck Hammer Strength Shoulder Press for 305 x 10, 285 x 12, and 265 x 15 but on my third warm up of 265 lbs my shoulder was aching. I switched to DB Shoulder Press which I have not done in 2 and a half months since I was at school. I was a little disappointed with the 100s being hard. I remembered using 105s for 3 sets of 15 reps as a third exercise. Then I remembered I have not done them in forever so my stabilization is off, it is my last shoulder exercise, and the last exercise in my entire workout. I think last time I did them at the end I was able to do 100s for 12-15 reps so I am not far off, thankfully. Just a little bummed the pec is almost 100% but my shoulder hurt.

Plasmagen Nitrate Critique:

Stength
Stength seemed better than normal, but could have been mental since it was my first day on Plasmagen Nitrate.

Energy
Energy was very good.

Endurance/Stamina
Eundurance/Stamina was was slightly better than usual.

Pumps
Pump was a little better than usual. I am not convinced yet that is was the PN since I do not think it could get into your system that fast.

Recovery
My legs are not sore at all today. Recovery between sets seemed better. I need less rest time.

Fat Loss
TBD

I am a little skeptical of it effecting me so soon. So far so good though.

It will last about 3 weeks. We are playing with a few dosage options.

Note: This product is a great bargain when you look at what you get per serving.

APS is right. I figured out based upon the frequency of my training one bottle at this higher dosage will last about 20 days give or take a few days. I do have the benefit of being sent 2 bottles though. If you take the recommended dosage it should last about a month.

Thank you for the compliments on my journal so far. I actually have never put different colors, sizes, and used underlining on BB.com before. That helps when you have a lot of free time to learn at a place I won't mention haha.

I actually owe a ton of credit to Hola Bola. I like how he structured his logs and workout journals and learned from his posts.

Just to clarify a few of the exercises I do that people might be confused about:

G/H Leg Press: is glute/ham leg press. I take a less than shoulder width stance with my feet about 1/3-1/2 off of the platform on a regular leg press. This focuses on the back of the hamstrings and glutes. I think they are the best glute and ham builders. They have helped my hamstrings improve a lot this past year.

Charles Glass Side Delts: They are a variation of regular side delt raises. Instead of your palms facing the ground they face behind you and then are raised. This stimulates the side delt much better. You have to use much much much less weight but you get amazing results. These have helped give my shoulders a very full and proportioned look. I got this from a Charles Glass delt training video when he trained Adam Kirby I believe. It is on BB.com.

1-Arm Overhead DB Tricep Extensions (done at the same time): I have tried the single arm version before and thought they were not a mass builder at all, maybe something okay for second in line of a superset and whimpy. The gym at my college's dumbbells only go up to 110's and at the Gold's near my house 120's. I had more than maxed these out in my highest rep range. I heard Derusean mentioning to Hola Bola about these done at the same time. I figured how much different can they be than than doing them one at a time. If it works for him though I will try it. I fell in love with these. They are a million times hard then the single dumbbell two-armed version and I feel them much more in my triceps. I thought I would be able to cut the weight from doing the single dumbbell 2-armed version in half, heck no!!! You have to use a much lower weight. These are great. I am the only person I have seen do these. I view these as more of a builder.

I am not sure if you saw my post on the explanation of the G/H Leg press. It is on a regular leg press sled. If you didn't it is a couple posts up. If you meant a picture of me doing it I can definately try and take a pic.

Great progress on your cut by the way. You are looking diced. You should do very well at your shows. You are a very good size for your age do not let anyone bring you down about that. I have gained about 17-20 lbs of pure muscle since I was 21. With your dedication and knowledge when you are my age in a few years you will be HUGE!!!

Hey weren't you chosen to do a log on Plasmagen Nitrate also?

Thanks for the compliment on the side chest. Feels good especially after tearing my pec. I do not think I lost any chest size from tearing it but I do not think I gained any from not being able to lift near what I normally do on chest exercises.

I will follow your log for sure too. I have been checking in it out the past month to see how your cut is going. I am doing something very similar with the dosing of Xtend only I use Leucine between meals and Xtend with my first meal, during workouts, and before bed. Layne said it would work just fine and it has. I lost only 6 lbs so far but 3 inches off my waist and my arms and legs are the same exact size so I am guessing some LBM gains. I got the BCAA layout from your posts actually probably 2 months back. Thanks for that.

Day 3 of APS Plasmagen Nitrate Log

8-1-08
OFF DAY:

Today I was going to do some LISS cardio for 60 minutes BUT I had to run some errands and took the day totally off. Probably good I did since I have Back and Chest + 45 mins of Cardio in the AM. I will be moving the cardio session from today to Sunday maybe I'll even do a little HIIT.

I forgot to mention when I first started taking Plasmagen Nitrate about the Beta-Alanine flush. I have had it with other products but love how it feels in the PN. Even on an off day today after taking the 6 caps I felt an incredible flush which gave me amazing circulation. I loved it since I have bad circulation and am cold all the time.

Day 4 of APS Plasmagen Nitrate Log

8-2-08
OFF DAY:

Today was supposed to be Chest and Back + 45 minutes of Cardio. I spent most of the day installing a new stereo system/speakers in my car with my father. I had plans with my gf for the weekend after the gym. Since the installation took longer than expected I did not get a chance to go to the gym or do cardio. This workout is moved to Monday, 8/4.

I hate missing days that are not scheduled. I have not been off schedule all summer but what can you do. At least I have a working stereo system in my car now. I do not see any other times this summer where things will not go according to plan. I normally like to train muscles every 5 days like previously mentioned but since this happened I will workout 3 days in a row starting Monday. I am going away for the weekend on Friday but not until early night so I will workout Friday morning.

Next week will look like this:

Monday: Chest and Back (B) + 45 mins PWO LISS Cardio

Tuesday: 15 mins warm-up cardio + Legs and Abs (B)

Wednesday: Shoulders and Arms (B) + 45 mins PWO LISS Cardio

Thursday: Cardio

Friday: Chest and Back (A) + 45 mins PWO LISS Cardio

Saturday: OFF

Sunday: Cardio or if I am back earlier enough from my mini-vacation I will do Legs and Abs (A) if not this will be done on Monday

Day 5 of APS Plasmagen Nitrate Log

8-3-08
Cardio Only DAY:

Today was planned Cardio. I did L/M/L Cardio. Low Intensity/Medium Intensity/Low Intensity

I covered 3.6 miles in 48 minutes composed of:

1.2 mile WALK, 1.2 mile JOG, 1.2 mile Walk

Now on to the good stuff: Plasmagen Nitrate Details

I think the rest time off yesterday and today was much needed since my right shoulder has been bothering me.

This morning I had a smaller breakfast with egg whites 1 whole egg and some whole wheat pancakes. I did not have tons of pancakes (3) so the meal wasn't too high on carbs. Out of nowhere I got a nice pump especially in my arms. Felt good. I had not taken any supplements today or yesterday aside from Plasmagen Nitrate and 1 lean green pill yesterday.

Also during my cardio tonight I got a pump in my calves especially, arms, and quads. I was not sold it was the PN because again it is early but there is no other explanation other than the Plasmagen. It can only get better

Comments
I had a very good workout today. My shoulder did not hurt during exercising but still is a problem. The pec felt very good on a positive note. Back seems to be getting stronger every workout.

Plasmagen Nitrate Critique:

Stength
Stength seemed better than normal.

Energy
Energy was very good.

Endurance/Stamina
Eundurance/Stamina was excellent. I cut rest shorter and had just as much endurance as normal.

Pumps
Were average for once with PN. Could also have to with the fact I am getting into lower rep ranges.

Recovery
Needed less time between sets. Felt refreshed even after a big cardio night last night. My legs were totally fresh during tonight's cardio too.

Fat Loss
Appearing leaner. I can see new definition. This also has to do with the fact I am cutting mostly but it seems as if the PN helps.

Thoughts
I might not have had insane pumps tonight BUT I appeared as if I did. My chest and back looked extremely full and entire body was more vascular than usual. Even though I did not have the pump feeling my chest looked like it was pumped up with an air pump. I thought that was even better than the pump.

When doing the overhead DB tricep extensions with both arms at the same time, do you let your elbows flare out and extend the dumbbells outward?

I do extend the dumbbells outward. As far as flaring I trying to envision the motion as if I had one dumbbell for two hands, so I guess i try not to really flare my elbow but keep them tight. I can try and take a video or pix of it the next time I do them.

I would do whatever feels better on your elbows and what you feel in your triceps more. It takes some experimenting and time to get used to it.
