Question on carb cycling

I just started carb cycling and I wanted to make sure i am doing it right. I've read several articles but I guess I need clarification.

Does my fat intake stay the same no matter what? For instance on my moderate carb days I am supposed to do 170 grams carbs and 190 grams protein. My calorie intake based on my BMR to lose body fat is 1700 (these numbers are all rounded just to keep it simple for me). So my fat would be around 30 grams. So on my lower carb and higher carb days my fat grams would be the same as my moderate days?

Also, my calories are going to go up and down depending on the day. yes?

I was just researching this today for the first time. The article I came across suggested that you increase/decrease your carbs by 25% for the hi and lo days. The grams of protein and fats stay the same regardlesss of carb day.

So in your case, a hi carb day is 212 g and a low carb one is 128g and each day you have the same amt of protein & fat - 190 & 30g. So you're basically increasing/decreasing your carbs by 42g so your cals will be either 168 higher or lower on those days.

Here is a link to the article. http://www.figureathlete.com/article..._for_women&cr=

But I'm curious as to what information others have run across.

Tom Venuto's Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle, his way of carb cycling (he says it works best..of course), is 3/1 split...3 days low carb and 1 day high carb. On high carb days, he says to double your carb intake. Also he says your high carb days should only be on "lifting" days.

I instinctually eat low carb regularly with up and down days as my appetite and/or cravings demand. I know this is not much help to you, but maybe the Tom Venuto info is.

Tom Venuto's book is great!

3 days low 1 day high is a way you can do it.. or play around.. 2 low, one high, low low, high, low high..etc..

I know that my nutritionist drops my fat by 10g's, and lowers my protein as well while upping the carbs.

so ex:

High day , 180gcarb, 20g fat, 150g pro
low:120gcarb, 30g fat, 175g pro

Dont know if this helps but I tried
