RIP Bennigans
I awoke today to find that i no longer had a job and all restaurants associated with the metromedia restaurant group (steak & ale, bennigans, the tavern, ponderosa, bonanza) have all been shut down.
and so now begins the job hunt...

That's incorrect. Metromedia is the corporate owner to the Bonanza and Ponderosa concepts. I imagine that some franchisees might be able to buy out their concept and run it however they want...LaBelle did that with a few of their concepts up here in Michigan (LaBelle Management runs all of the Michigan Bennigan's). I haven't heard how this affects Bennigan's up here yet, as they are open as of today.

Ponderosa was worse than that, they had some in indy when I lived there. White trash buffet, reminded of the one on vegas vacation. $6 steaks. Total garbage. Good riddance. Now if we can only get rid of sizzler.

just did a quick look at Outbacks financials. They are fine.
In 2006 they had a Revenue Growth (1 yr): 9.10% I dont see them slipping that much.
