Kiss me out of the bearded barley
Nightly, beside the green, green grass
Swing, swing, swing the spinning step
You wear those shoes and I will wear that dress.

Oh, kiss me beneath the milky twilight
Lead me out on the moonlit floor
    Lift your open hand
Strike up the band and make the fireflies dance
    Silver moon's sparkling
    So kiss me

Kiss me down by the broken tree house
Swing me upon its hanging tire
Bring, bring, bring your flowered hat
We'll take the trail marked on your father's map

Yes, it's true! Records are not the same for all federations. The 300lb deadlift is probably a record for a certain federation, but not in another federation.

There are more than 30 different powerlifting federations in the USA. So, that means that their are a separate set of records for the 30 different federations.

That makes no sense at all. Unless you did that lift in a meet, and in the same fed as the o/p is talking about, you don't have anything.

and the OP's post does?A 300 lb. dead at 14 isn't exactly the best thing ever, and especially if the lifter was at a weight over half the weight lifted.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

also most guys who lift heavy don't complete in PL contests...especially if they are teens with no money and no means of transportation...they are typically training for football or just for fun...so the records don't mean much.

Anyway 300 is prob. not a record for a 14 year old.

Hate to break it to you guys, but WABDL is the largest drug-tested federation in the country. I just spoke with Gus, the owner of WABDL, and membership is roughly 4500-5000.

That's from Gus himself. I guess when a fed gets that big, you lose count.

Like I said before, NASA is nowhere near the largest. Just the facts.

The reason this lift wouldn't pass because their is no pause at the bottom. In NASA, you must wait for a press signal. The head judge looks for the bar to be motionless on the chest, then you get a press command.

Practice your pause and you'll have no problem on the bp platform.

Here is a suggestion: Make another video of you pausing on the bp and send it to me. I'm a certified National and State Judge, not an internet judge(lol)

Good luck with your training and thanks for sharing your training video!

For the federation you were at, it most likely is. But if you ask most of the serious lifters here...a lot of us were deadlifting more than that at 14/15 years of age.

Back in the day, Deceiver (a former mod of this forum) was a 15 year old kid at 148 who held the record at 410. I believe that was the national record...don't know about nowadays though.

Its probably true but if it is thats really not that great now anybody can lie on the inernet but this is a true story .My name is Sam i'm 14 years old and today i deadlifted 305 for1 rep, a few days ago i benched 225 for 2 reps . If you would like to know how big i am im 5'11 or 6 feet tall not to sure i weigh 165 and im not done growing.so to be honest i expected better for a world record holder.
