Best Carbs After Depletion? High Gi

In the first 24 hours after depletion many people say use high GI carbs then. what do most of you use to carb up with for that first 24 hours. i have always done low GI with sweet potatos just about every meal...

is sugar a no no even though you want high GI carbs?

Most definitely high GI the first 24 hours after a depletion. This is when glycogen uptake is the greatest and to take full advantage of it you have to use high GI carbs. Switch to low after this.
