Scivation Xtend to keep muscles
Which is the best way to use Xtend?...I'm using 8oz water with 2 scoops during my cardio (I do cardio 30 min x 4 days and 55 min x 2 days and lift 3 - 4 days a week). How can I get better results or I'm using it right?
Thanks.

I use 1 1/2 scoops in 16 oz of water and sip through my entire workout. I know they say to take more (per the directions), but I get bcaa's in the foods I eat throughout the day...so I know my body is getting enough.

It's really isn't that simple. For best results, I'd suggest at least 20grs (based on LBM) or just don't really bother. At almost 250lbs I usually take 50grs or so.

Recovery is key. Massages, epsom salts baths, foam rolling, sleep masks, contrast showers, it all adds up. Get a foam roller, The Stick, a tennis/baseball, use them and stay healthy, pain and injury free.

Isn't most of the bcaa's in the protein we eat throughout the day? I can understand at your size you need more than someone my size, but what is your reasoning for using that much?
My husband uses it too, so for me it gets expensive.
Your feedback is always appreciated!!

I use 4 scoops in 32 oz of water and sip throughout my workout and through the rest of the day until it's gone.

There are 8 essential amino acids, and Xtend contains 3 of those 8. Leucine (a BCAA) is the main muscle protein synthesis amino acid. So you're right, we do get plenty of EAA/BCAA in everyday life, but there's nothing wrong with getting MORE in order to keep/build lean muscle mass.
The true way to know that your body is getting "enough" protein is to either take a nitrogen balance test (using strips or bloodwork), or if your sweat starts smelling like ammonia (not fun, lol)

If you're cutting, as you continue to lower your calories, I would increase your dosage a bit, and sip on it throughout the day.
