Official 2008 NPC USA Championships discussion
Prejudging starts in 20 min.
Just to throw it out there, I've got:
Nunn - SHW* / Pro
Curry - HW & Overall* / Pro
Ray - LHW
??
Higa - WW
??
Profit!
edit: i actually think Nunn is better / should win the Overall, but I picked Curry a few days ago and am sticking with that pick.

unfortunately.
i actually have a good friend testing judging at this show. he's been a state judge for 19 years and was invited to test judge this year to become a national judge. kinda cool.

Maybe getting some fresh blood into the judging ranks might make a difference sonetime in the future.

Overall is definitely between Nunn and Curry, going to be a tough call. Hadn't really heard much of Nunn coming into this but he looks great!
What do you guys think of Curtis Bryant? I like his shape but he may be off conditioning-wise.
EDIT: Nunn needs to pull his trunks up a little, they're sitting too low.

the first I had heard of Nunn was last year at Nationals...when either a buddy of his or just a fan of his started to cry bull**** politics before the show even started...saying that if Nunn didn't win the SHW class, that it was pure politics.
Bryant looks awesome. needs to bring up his arms to match the rest of his physique. Curry is more balanced, though doesn't have the freaky bodyparts that Bryant does.
edit: i was thinking that Bryant was HW...either way, same idea applies, but just put Ray's name in place of Curry's.

LMAO!! yeah man, she got totally robbed, but she's okay with it. She actually stopped dieting and doing cardio about a month out, because everyone kept telling her she was too hard. She's doing Jr. Nat's next year.
I am amazed at how awesome Jamie is. She is so super sweet man. One of the most geniunely nice people I've ever met.

I agree. I didn't expect her to be so genuinely nice.
And I DEFINITELY thought Megan got robbed. I had her winning. So did probably a lot of other people after they boo'd her 4th place finish. I bet they put her that low because she had more muscle than they would like to see on a figure competitor... but if you ask me, the winner should look like they lift weights.. not starve themself and do cardio only. Rant over.

hahaha well they tend to reward the more muscular look at the National level. Mary Lado and Veronica Miller never won the Louisiana and they are both doing very well!
