Thats what I thought but I wasn't sure. I will more than likely just need a couple of bottles of Orange Triad and some protein powder with a couple of other things. I'm not really worried about packing a bunch of food right now, I'm more focused on trying to find a good BOL. I think I can get established within a months time of arriving to my final place. A couple goats, rabbits, and seeds is all I need.. besides water of course, but where I'm hoping to go, there will be plenty of that

Well, I planted 5 plugs of cayenne peppers and 5 of Poblano with 3 seeds each. Only one plug hasn't germinated, and all the others had all 3 germinate. The little sproutlings are growing like mad (2-3 inches tall this morning), so I guess I should put them in the 3" pots and get them under the growlight soon. Next up will be the tomato plants. I might get them started tonight..........

Make sure they're not on the heat mats!
After germinating they can get leggy pretty quick with warm soil temps... And they will "Reach" for the light... If they get too leggy too young they will topple over.
In tomatoes it's okay you can pot deeper, but peppers don't pot deeper!6'4"

Nice. I just read that David Sarti, one of the guys featured on Doomsday Preppers went to the hospital for chest pain and shortness of breath, and the doctor held him over for psychiatric evaluation (not sure why, maybe she saw the show) and even though he has no criminal record, they declared him mentally unstable and his large collection of guns was confiscated and he is no longer allowed to own a firearm......Watch out, people!

the super fat guy from the first episode who was in poor health.
i thought it had already been posted in here but i guess not, i get my threads/boards confused. i think they tried to say he was suicidal or something. kinda goes against the idea of being a prepper right?
i ordered several books this morning on homesteading, gardening, self sufficiency, how to butcher animals, etc, etc. my prep of the day lol. u guys are right, if there was no more internet i would be screwed.THINK FOR YOURSELF, QUESTION AUTHORITY!

I actually missed that segment, so I don't know the guy's background... BUT I think it's valid to say that some of these people are actually just "Hoarders" who have found the premise of "Prepping" as an enabling excuse for their larger mental issues.
It's a little bit like an alcoholic who claims he's only drinking to dull his back pain etc...6'4"

I had a conversation with a guy this weekend, who kind of only barely knew me (We are "Friends in law" helping my buddy move etc...)
Over the years I've made an active effort to acquire "Authentic Experience" on a wide number of topics. Every day I pick something and I try to learn something more about it... Even if I'm only increasing my knowledge base by a fraction of 1%... Over the course of 10 years it's revolutionized the way I live my life etc... I've come to understand (Despite my wishes to the contrary) that intellect can not stand alone.
So this weekend I ran into my younger self... The early Nainoa that had more intelligence than he had experience. (Only this guy is actually like 5 years older than me)
He was all analysis and theory... Stuff he'd read on the internet, and since he understood it intellectually, he figured it counted as experience.
I had to correct him a little by basically saying "I've learned that Experience > Intellect"
To which he basically responded... "You only feel that way because you probably have a limited intellect."
I gave him a mulligan, because I needed him to grab the other end of the sectional couch more than I needed to cripple him emotionally.

almost the opposite of The Book of Eli
most of the movie was WTH are you doing doing but the idea of marauding groups of cannibals made itself known yet again
thats the guy with the youtube channel. lol
probably got a big mouth and talked too much in the doctors office
yes, valid
this it the computer age and people are like that. im a little of both.
some people just have to experience it for themselves though

Actually I've found (As a reformed intellectual myself) that the people who "Think" they can rely on intellect to get them through life are often using intelligence as a blanket to cover up their fear.
It took me a long time to understand that intellect is a tool, and not a primary decision making technique.6'4"

Yeah I like that show a lot... Although the writing is a little schitzo... They need to get like 1 or 2 writers TOTAL and the producer (Forget his name) needs to take a firm hand.
Because they'll have a good story line going and then just throw in a some random scene that evokes morality questions...
Like the guy shooting at them then impales his leg.
Sorry... I'm putting 2 in your head both to spare myself and put you out of your misery.
Same thing with the whole Rick finds out that Shane was banging his wife... And Rick treats it like "Meh... Here's what I think you were thinking... If that's pretty much it, then it's like water off a ducks back to me emotionally... Until of course we need it as a plot hook 3 episodes later."
*That entire episode was written by a woman.
Whatever... You bang my wife, probably knock her up and still have a thing for her... I'm not going to wait a couple of episodes I'm gonna chop your dick off and feed it to the walkers in the barn!6'4"

I've got a real glitzy neighborhood full of neuvo-riche douchebags at the end of my street.
There's a small time clean water movement slowly growing up here... and one of the public service announcements was this tip to wash you vehicles on the lawn to conserve water, rather than letting it all run into the storm drains etc...
So last summer Douchebag-X gets some new fancy soap for his vehicles... Washes all 4 cars with this stuff...
A week later there's a GIANT brown spot in his lawn... Whatever it was in the fancy car wash soap (Probably an ester or an alcohol) killed his lawn.
Rather than change soap he says "Screw that, from now on I'm washing on the driveway!"
No sense at all of where the storm drain is putting that????
I suppose it's better than his idiot neighbor who I caught teaching his kids that the storm drain is just "A garbage can in the street."6'4"

i wash my two cars on a weekly basis...you mad?
the guy that impaled his legs that got left by his friends i would have left him especially after he was just shooting at me 2 minutes before. lol. the walkers like em more when they squirm and yell. i think the sherif is always supposed to be all rational + never get mad etc tho so that does play into his part of not killing someone for fukkn his woman.Your Dreams are within reach
