This is aimed towards everyone who almost always goes with chocolate protein powders because they like them and happen to be the safe choice.

which do you prefer for those who have tried both:

I have tried only the vanilla, and here is my opinion of it (coming from a nonmember of team scivation).

TASTE:
I give it a 9.5/10 on taste. It tastes as good, if not noticeably better, than anything else on the market. The vanilla has a mild sweetness and is very easy to drink.

MIXABILITY:
I give it a 7/10 on how it mixes. It's thicker than any other weigh protein I've had, and therefore requires more water to equal the same consistency. Furthermore, when I don't use a blender and instead opt for a shaker bottle (with the plastic mixing net), there are occasional small clumps that do not mix with vigorous shaking. I find that I need to shake about 2-3x as much as other whey proteins to get all the protein distributed throughout the water.

NUTRITION:
I give it a 6/10. This is where I'm going to knock it, and I'm sure there will be a few scivation members that'll want to disagree with me. The vanilla flavor scivation has 22 grams of protein, 1 carb, and 2 grams of fat per scoop. I feel the fat-to-protein ratio is too high. Many other competing brands will squeeze and extra 1-2 grams of protein per scoop, plus have .5 to 1 less grams of fat per scoop. A 10 lb. bag of Optimum Nutrition's vanilla has 160 grams of fat, while a 10 lb. bag of Scivation's vanilla has 320 grams of fat. I go through 10 lbs. of protein in about 40 days, and while it isn't a huge difference day-to-day, I personally would rather see less fat in the powder.

Overall, yeah I'd buy it again, but in contest prep I'd likely switch to a protein with less fat per scoop. On a side note, I prefer vanilla proteins over chocolate because I like to blend in frozen fruit to create protein smoothies.

Serisouly if you are a diehard choclate go with the vanilla,
Ive tried nearly all vanilla protein powders out there (prob over 20-25 of them) and this one tops the charts, ive been through 10lbs of it, and just got another 10lbs. The choclate is great dont get me wrong, but you will not be dissatisfied with the vanilla.

I am a diehard choclate guy as well. Either way your going to get a great tasting powder so its a no lose situation.

for chocolate, yes, change the flavor to vanilla, and it is 2 g fat.

Ive had both and its a win/win deal. Vanilla tastes like melted ice cream and chocolate tastes like a 3-some with hot twins.

If you like it and it works go with it. There are those of us that are strickly results oriented and that is where our allegance lies.

Okay, you guys talked me into it. I just ordered the vanilla. My chocolate is almost gone - which I absolutely luv - but with the vanilla reviews I figure I should give this one a try.

You just made the same mistake that I made when I ordered and didn't double check the nutritional profile of the vanilla.

Im sure a couple more of us Aussie's round here are wondering this too, when do predict Scivation Whey to available in Australia?

All this great feedback on it, were feeling deprived over here :P. As bb.com will not ship to aus unfortunately.

haha it is tempting, prices for this are so much cheaper in the US for everything!

Fortunately every other Scivation & Primaforce product gets in (Bar Yohimbine)...

Bingo! The only vanilla I used to ever rock was designer....I actually look forward to having my whey now, it used to piss me off that valuable grams of beef, and turkey were taken from me because of post workout whey.
