Bowflex!!
I love my bowflex, but does anyone know a really strong workout that will make me thicker? I also was wondering whats the best thing to do for a cardio work out, I walk 2 to 3 miles a day but that must not be good enough because I'm having the worst trouble losin the rest of this weight. I was 256 but now I'm 222 and I eat very well and workout really hard but some weeks I'll gain a pound or 2 and the next week I'll lose those pounds so the problem is I gain 2 and I lose 2 so that means I really lose none because I get back to the weight I was already, any ideas???? Thanx!!
oh ya, one more question. How do I get a picture under my name like everyone else does that replies to this message?

1. people on this board DESPISE bowflex. Its pretty much a joke. If you can join a gym and use free weights. Look it up if you want to know why.
2. To lose weight walking 2-3 miles a day wont do ****. That burns like 10 calories an hour. You should first have a GOOD diet in check. What you think is good might be a misconception. And do HIIT. Look it up.
3. Muscle burns more calories than fat does. Increase muscle to maximize fat lose. Look into Rippetoes Starting Strength noob.

1. People on this board LOVE bowflex. It's pretty much not a joke. If you can, buy a Bowflex and use Bowflex. Look it up if you want to know why.
2. To lose weight, walking 2-3 miles a day will help. That burns like 10 calories a mile. You should first have a GOOD diet in check. Don't do HIIT, it is stressful and you could be hurt doing it.
3. Muscle burns more calories than fat does. Attempt to gain muscle rather than fat, just in case you were for some reason planning on getting fatter to lose fat. It's important to stss this.

lol at the posts here. part of the problem with any bowflex type system is you will max out on it in no time flat and there you will sit with several hundred dollars worth of coat rack.

I like my Bowflex because I have three kids and my wife works at night so I have no time to go to the gym and I have no spotter to have an iron gym at home and my bowflex has 410 pounds so I figure that it would take me awhile to max it out cause I can only bench 210 now.

Who does BowFlex
I am trying to find people with experiences with the BowFlex Ultimate 2 Home Gym. Also because I have a 2 and 4yr old and I can't really go to the gym right now with my schedule. I have a very limited set of dumbbells for my free weights. But they only go to 15Lbs each and not doing me much good. Sure I can buy more free weights, but I like the number of workouts and high amount of weight that the BowFlex home gym offers.
I am now 179Lbs, (at 6', age 31). I have been walking 4 miles in 1 hour during my lunch break for about 8 weeks now. I was about 190Lbs when I started. I eat about 1500-1800 cals per day with about 20-25% protein. No suppliments right now.
Before that, I did pretty much nothing for exercise. So ever just fast walking does something when combined with low cals.
But, I would like to ramp things up. And the BowFlex Ultimate 2 Home Gym that folds to 4ft, looks like my best bet for something in the home that takes low space and can do enough for me at home until I can do a gym.
I haven't used a BowFlex, but the home gym looks like a good alternative to buying many other products to put in my home and while I can't go to a gym.
Not saying the BowFlex is the answer or the enemy, but I would like to hear from people who have serious tried to gain muscle with the BowFlex. Thanks.

Also want to say that I have read many other posts in this forum and it seems that more people speak up about NOT liking the BowFlex, vs those speaking up about liking it or getting great gain results with it.
So I have decided to go with the cheaper route of just improving my free weight arsenal.
Again, not saying the BowFlex doesn't have it's uses, etc. I don't have one and have no real opinion about it. Just based on this forum, it appears more disliked, than liked.
