Rhul had the mass of a true FREAK, but it was not really pleasing to the eye. IMHO.

Ruhl u sick sick FREAK!! no one can touch him in that Front Lat Spread and Side Chest, he dwalfed Jay in both of them INSANE!! but unfortunetly his rear shots just didnt have the detail to compete with Ronnie and Jay

Yeah, it's kinda strange how a Pro can have such an amazing collection of body parts yet fall so short in others. Some Pros take the criticism really well and go ALL out to bring them up. I guess some guys just can't improve the lagging muscles, must have trouble isolating that particular muscle group... hmm, who knows.

yeah it is very interesting... some put it down to genetics but i dont buy it... coz some guys have "lagging" bodyparts then bring them up solidly (ie Cutler's Back)

IMO ruhl looks harder from the front but is softer from the back missing that detail, and imo Ruhl wins most poses from the front there.
From the back, its all Jay, I find it strange how cutler can looks so soft from the front and be so hard on the back it's just weird.

IMO Ruhl had sick conditioning. everyone always ranks on him for having crazy distention, but if you look at the side poses, his distention looks less than cutlers for example. and his front and side poses are devastating. it really is unfortunate he didnt have the back to hang with Jay and Ronnie though. he had width, but lacked detail and thickness. he would have destroyed the Mr.Olympia if he did. truly a genetic freak

i think ruhl looked a bit better than jay from the front. his serratus anterior was pretty good.
jay's lat spread was miles ahead of everyone else on stage though.

Wow Rhul was putting people to shame there. Really sucks that he never got the back detail down, I always wanted him to get an O. He got shafted worse than just about anyone sometimes imo.
