I've been training pretty consistently for about 5 years but really picked up doing heavy compound movements only in the last 2-3.
Routines are built around squats, deadlifts, bench, and pull-ups. I train them pretty often, sometimes squatting/deadlifting up to 3 times a week. I'm a big believer in hitting those compound exercises hard and often.
