I don't. Relationships are fun and pretty good if you can keep your expectations real, be happy with being "content" and can stay away or at least push back unhappy people in your lives.
If the idea of a relationship for you is a fullfilling intresting connection between two people all the time you are out of luck. Relationships are built on the mundane simple, non intresting every day things that happen everyday.
They have random spikes of exictment followed by long periods of being "ok" and thats all you can expect. If you cant be ahppy with that you will never be happy in a relationship.
Imo people forget what a relationship is for and expect it to fullfill other parts of their lives.Disregard females, acquire currency

This is pure bull****. You can't live alone and be happy. Being single requires you to have a lot of friends to make up for the social interaction you're missing not having a family. Humans need social validation to keep a healthy mental state.
So there is no such thing as being alone and being happy. You are either in a relationship, or single with a lot of friends that you chill with very frequently...
If you're single and a loner, then you seriously need to look into finding good friends at the same time as worrying about finding a mate...
Life is complicated... a lot of things need to go right at the same time for you to be normal and healthy and satisfied.Thread softly upon the temple I have built, lest ye disturb this holy site, lest ye disturb this holy sight.

You are incorrect sir. Mother nature made this way to ensure the survival of the species. Who will have healthier babies...... the healthy fit couple or two fat slobs with heart problems and diabetes? Which ones would have been better hunters and would be better at escaping tigers and stuff? THAT is why we want to **** the **** out of a hot girl/guy like an animal.

ok maybe half
I wouldnt be surprised if most of the girls on this forum arent like that because it has to do with mentality. Girls that workout would have a stronger drive to do stuff by themselves because working out teaches you that (kinda).
But take your average 18 year old girl that just parties, works and goes to school (yeah there are girls like that, plenty) then having a bf is a big part of their lives. They probably read cosmo too. That ****ing thing brainwashes girls its retarded. Do you read cosmo?Last edited by Gr8Ape; 07-29-2008 at 05:11 AM.

I've read Cosmo and it's a bit strange, but I expect the UK version is a bit different from the US version anyway!!
I read Scarlet, if anything (probably the only women's mag I ever read lol )

Ha ha no plenty of 'older' women read Cosmo though I haven't really read it for years (unless I'm in a doctor's surgery...)
And Scarlet isn't really like Cosmo at all - it doesn't tell you how to get men, it tells you what to do when you've got one.....it's essentially porn lol
This month there's a feature on cannibal fetish (you don't actually eat the person) - very odd but funny to read. People are strangeMisc Perv #65

the funniest thing I find about these magazines are not the endless ''how-to's'' about sex and relationships, but the quizzes
They basically go:
Are you:
A. Like X
B. Like Y
C. Like Z
if you have answered A, you are like X
if you have answered B, you are like Y
if you have answered C, you are like Z, etc~460/~320/510 pr's

I think we all are supposed to be single. Maybe it's because society has made it so easy for relationships to end. I think most people who have stuck together through the LOOOOONG years have done so not out of love but because they don't want to be old and alone so they settle for the little bit of happiness they have being with someone. I think my views on it may change as I continue to grow.
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.

You know what. I think you're so correct. I can see these things happen in my family.
There is even a saying "Almost everything you do young is to safeguard your senior citizenship" or something like that.
That was the whole idea of having kids back in the day - the helped out. But what about now?
Question is. Is that what we should do? Are you really going to enjoy your SO when you're old and everything is wrinkled and you're sick, etc.?

THANK YOU! This is exactly what I hear girls say all the time. They try to convince themselves they want someone with "substance" so they don't seem superficial, yet they end up with the douchebag with a six-pack, who never had a job till he was 26 because his parents have money.
Bottom-line..."I got 99 problems but a bitch ain't one"

I have been single for a little over 2 years. I was in a long term relationship and engaged but like many other young couples things didn't work. I have dated and have met some great women. But haven't found that someone yet. All my friends are either married, engaged, or have children. Over the last year I have seemed to drift from my old crew and turned into a gym rat loner LOL. There has got to be more to life than work an training. At my current situation I feel I'm destined to be single. I have hobbies and stuff but miss the steady companionship of having someone real. More than just a hook up. Any ladies from Ohio on board lol?
