Day of the GHD for CL (3rd in the thread today). Never seen one here but it got listed today. That isn't you testing waters is it MR H? Seems to be the same one I ordered w/ a nice little fee tacked ont.

As far as the guy I got the plates from, nothing really that I was interested in. He had decent stuff, just nothing spectacular and mostly specialty pieces I didn't want to even deal with. It was all in the ad.

It does seem to be the day of GHD's! I am still so pissed that the one I posted isnt near me (or within a 2 hour drive at least... I'd be in the car now). I was even debating calling my buddy in LA and asking him to buy it for me and I'll ship it over but then I thought of how crazy I was being...lol! That one I posted looks sick and I've never seen it before. Not sure what brand it is but its heavy duty and CHEAP! I really hope someone here gets that.

EDIT: Looks like its made by PROSTAR. I know they make some nice stuff

Okay CL OB1s, I am working on a deal right now, where we've agreed in pronciple to me buying a set of Hex Heads 30-80lbs (30-35-40-45..................) with an Olympic Camber bar for $250.

My question is, do you flip them and buy adjustables or keep them? WHat do you think I could get for them in the tristate area?

Get them either way and decide later. I recently sold similar set in NJ for more than double that, sick deal was that set cost me about 25c/lb. In the end this paid for a CL deal on Ironmasters w/120lb addon, which I'm very happy with.

Unless space is an issue, fixed dumbbells trump adjustable dumbbells every time.

Thanks for the input fellas, I am definitely getting them. The deal has been finalized, it's just a matter of handing over the cash. I have the space for them, I guess it's best to bring em home and see how I feel about the set. I figured I coould probably flip em for double or better.

indeed it was me and waters tested, several bites ready to pick up, now you just have to tell me its worth getting and ill go grab one, since i know i can make my money back easy if i decide to sell its a win win

how much did yours come out to after taxes? and are you picking it up or are they delivering? how much after taxes and delivery if you arent picking it up?

that things really calling my name now, especially since i started working out on my hoist, this thing

it goes from a roman to a hyper and the way it hits my back side has me really wanting a ghr/d now

Is this the right thread to post in when asking what I should pay for and what I should sell an item for on CL or should there be a separate thread for pricing?

It seems like deals are starting to pop up daily around me and I don't want to spam this thread with "What should I pay for xxx" posts.

Trust me, we'd all rather this thread be spammed rather than the entire workout equipment forum. Post it here... nothing unusual about it.

I should also say though, anything you post in here becomes fair game to everyone looking at it so be careful if you really want something. If you know somethings a good deal, jump on it! One thing I usually do is search this craigslist thread for the item to see if anyones already posted about it to see what the going rate is

Also, I made the multi person deal of my CL career tonight.

The farthest I've ever transported anything I'm selling is around the corner to the gas station. Today I sold a seated calf raise, a pair of 60 lb DB's and 455 in weight w/ a rack 35 miles away from my house. Worked for me as 2 of the guys lived outside town on the opposite side and I was picking something up just around the corner. I was at the gas station a total of 7 minutes to meet, exchange funds and unload for 3 people. Probably won't do it again though as if one of them didn't show I would have been SOL getting the other stuff home.

to keep, i would pay 200 for that hoist hf-4165 new or 150 for it used

the pl34a is $895 and id pay no more than 450 used if i was going to keep, im a at least half off kinda guy for the most part, just too many deals here in houston to pay more than half unless its very rare

id pay 75 for that cap bar if i was keeping it

i would try to get all that stuff cheaper though, and if i was buying it all together a lot cheaper

trying to add a piece of cardio equipment, and thought a spin bike might do the trick until a rower deal pops up
I have never done Spin before, so complete novice, but does this seem like a relatively cheap way to get started with probably a pretty easy chance of selling for no less than $100 down the road (minimal investment risk)
