How long did the honeymoon period last with someone you were very much into?

After the honeymoon period how were your feelings toward the person different?

6 months.

the sex is great. you get it all the time. then gradually it decreases.

after 6 months, and spending lots of time together, i got to know her so well that our relationship was no longer new and exciting. almost like a choir, i was going to her frnds birthdays and functions and basically doing things i didnt want to do and visa versa. but in the end, thats how relationships work, you like someone so much that you do things for them not becasue YOU want too, but because THEY want you too.

That's weird, I was just thinking about this the other day.

My gf and I hit 7 months, and I'm feeling like we're getting out of the honeymoon period.

For instance: she came over last weekend and spent the night...but neither of us had the energy for sex, even though we hadn't had it in a couple of days.

During the honeymoon phase we fuked like rabbits anytime we saw each other.

Getting out of it doesn't make it all bad or anything: it just shows your relationship is maturing from sexual to more emotional.

I was thinking about a couple that waited until their honeymoon to have sex for the first time. Then the bitch is on her period, so the guy has to bang her on the rag for the first time. I thought that was what this thread was about.

The "honeymoon" period varies from relationship to relationship. I've seen it go as long as a year and as short as a month. Just really depends on how into the other person you are.

Once you get used the relationship the only change is that you have to make sure both sides work towards perserving it's intergrity. Real love isn't the chemical high you get at first, it's the want to make it work when things are rough.
