I see John Rambo prefers the pre-9/11 mentality. Wait til your wife gets stabbed and THEN kill him.

another POS
gone, I agree with the outcome, whats done is done and if it was a perfect world he would have been injured and learned from his lesson.
The back door of the residence had braces because of a previous burglary, according to McGuire.
Berisaj was considered a suspect in several burglaries in the same area where the shooting occurred, according to the report. People interviewed during the investigation also indicated there were at least two other people who could have been with Berisaj when he was shot, according to police records. There had been another burglary at McGuire?s residence several months before the shooting; McGuire had also told neighbors about someone peeking into windows before the burglary.
The witnesses stated that Berisaj would brag about the burglaries in school, according to the report. Most of the witnesses were students at Moss Middle School and were not named in the report because they are juveniles.

I completely agree with this. 15 years old or not he was still busting into a house and could very well be armed. Just because he is still a kid does not mean he won't shoot your ass the minute he sees you, and who knows if he has friends with him. Times like that you can't stop to think you just gotta act. He decided to break into the house knowing full well what the consequences could be, it was his dumbass fault.

it has absolutely nothing to do with supposed 'intentions', 'motives', and/or 'desires'. the fact IS a young man who knew the difference between right and wrong CHOSE to unlawfully enter someone else's HOME (ie: a place of presumed safety, a sanctuary for family, the place where my baby sister sleeps, etc) in the middle of the NIGHT in order to commit more CRIMES (already had one under the belt, see B and E). regardless of how psychic or sympathetic the VICTIM (read: homeowner) should have been when he was endangered from no fault of his own, how are some of you possibly siding or identifying with the punk who was breaking countless laws? not only that, but if the man chose inaction, how many more ppl could have been harmed?
Get used to me. Determined, confident, cocky. My name, not yours; my beliefs, not yours; my goals, my own.
Intensity is my middle name.

In retrospect its pretty clear that he just wanted to steal something but there was no way for the homeowner to know that. For all that guy knows the person breaking in was some jaded criminal that would have killed him after he robbed him. The bottom line is that our law gives us the right to protect our property from intruders, if you don't want to get shot don't invade homes.
Don't downplay his actions, breaking and entering is not a normal youthful indiscretion.
I hope your family is never in a situation where someone is trying to enter your home, b/c if that happens they're f*cked.Last edited by GApump; 07-22-2008 at 02:38 PM.

No warning given? OK when I shoot someone who is unlawfully breaking into my home/threatening or using deadly force against me, I'll just say "OK IM SHOOTING YOU NOW!" that way the news people and forumites can't say I didn't warn them!
Anyways, too many of you folks are monday morning quarterbacks and I REALLY don't think you read the news very much, and if you do, you are in denial and living in a fantasy world where bad people only exist in movies.. People who break into your home aren't breaking in to have some coffee and chat, they are there to do you harm. It is not, nor is it reasonable, to expect the homeowner or otherwise lawful occupants to sit there and psychoanalyze the intruder's intentions or extent of the harm they will cause. You don't have minutes to work with when seconds matter.
A MAN'S HOME IS HIS CASTLE, HIS REFUGE, HE WHO DARES TO UNLAWFULLY ENTER THEREIN IS SUBJECT TO MERCILESS VIOLENCE UNTIL EITHER SAID INTRUDER LEAVES UNDER HIS OWN POWER OR VIA THE MORGUE-MOBILE.
BETTER TO BE TRIED BY 12 THAN CARRIED BY 6, NO DOUBT IN MY MIND.Last edited by MoGeaYuglay; 07-22-2008 at 02:42 PM.
If you think you can, you will.
If you think you can't, you're right.
