What piece of home equipment cant you do without

I'm interested in knowing what piece of home equipment you feel is essential, wouldn't be without and would recommend to others, just for an example I'm interested in getting a chin and dip stand, Has anyone got one? would you recommend them? if so any good brands? that's just an example I'm interested in learning what you think is an essential piece of kit

I have a rack...which I think is an indispensable piece of my workout equipment, but there are many makes and models that would do the job satisfactorily for me.

The one piece of equipment that I have grown to love because of its quality and versatility is my Ironmaster Superbench. After using it, I don't think there is another product I would be satisfied with.

    Hope that helps. Bo

I have a Powertec rack. I can go very heavy with this and there are many excersises that can be done safely. I am a huge Powertec fan. The equipment I own from them is excellent quality for the money.

I agree. I had never heard of powertec before I started visiting this site. I love their stuff and will definitely be purchasing more in the future.

I also agree that a rack (not too exp but can hold your weight you need) is great.

Power rack. I've got Lamar, excellent rack, but there is no Lamar no more, if you can find used one I recommend it highly. Two barbells across supports will make a dip stand and a bar up top will make a pullup bar. Two barbells a good power bar like Texas Power bar and an Olympic lifting bar 28mm like a Pendlay, set of bumper plates, you won't have to worry about damaging garage floor, they are solid rubber, good ones from Crossfit, good price too. Two stall mats 3/4 inch to make a lifting platform for doing snatches and cleans, dl, bent over rows, etc. Good sturdy bench. GHR bench if you got money to spare, there is nothing better for core/posterior chain training, I own York. Grip machine, I own Ironmind and Hammer Strength Gripper ( it's worth its weight in gold, but is next to impossible to find, I fished for mine for over two years ). Olympic rings,2", 3" barbells, hand grippers, kettlebells, neck harness, dip belt, grip toys, sand bag, beer keg. Ok, that's enough to get you started ;-) Hope this helps.

LOL so thats the equipment you can't do without... =) damn thats a lot of stuff

for me, i'd say all you really need is rack, weights, and bench.

i guess a simple powertec rack, with cheap 300lb. olympic set, and like a decent bench like the ironmaster superbench would be nice.

You typically don't have to bolt them down. But the cheaper ones are usually unstable and weak. What does your workout space look like? Is it in a room or garage? What's the dimensions?
