    What machine is better for burning off calories/fat.?

    The treadmill is the best. Especially if you're running, but I lost 44lbs with the eliptical as my sole source of cardio

    if you're going to jog then ya the treadmill is definitely best. if you're going to be lazy and just walk on it though, you're probably better off with the elliptical

    they both have their advantages...but with the elliptical, the biggest advantage being easier on the joints of your knees it wins IMO

    agreed...you don't need to watch how hard you stomp your feet or anything like that on an elliptical.
