My Road to Competition with team Scivation
Hi everybody!!!
First of all I want to thank Derek and the people of Scivation for giving me this opportunity. I am starting the CHA 1400 program tomorrow. I'm excited and also a little scared of the zero carb plan but, I have been hearing so many great things about the Scivation plan that I had to see if it would work for me.
About Me
I am a mother of two wonderful children and my husband is a competitor, I am a reformed cardio queen and have been working out (lifting heavy to bodybuild) for close to two years, I competed in a figure comp last Aug 07 in which i placed but realized that i needed more muscle mass. I was planning on competing again this Aug but this time as a bodybuilder. I did a lot of research and came up with a plan on gaining some lean mass. I was successful but even though my diet was clean, I still gained a too much fat I'm not sure how much muscle. In oder to compete this year I started to diet in April for the competition, my plan was to slowly remove the fat and maintain as much muscle, howerver the fat wasn't coming off, and I had to drop my plans to compete this year that was frustrating. I am now shooting for a bodybuilding competition in March 09. This time though, I will have team Scivation behind me and I know I will make it to the stage.

Thank you, I hope so too, I need to cut some of the fat and a couple of months of lean gains, then cut for the competition. I'm really happy I decided to try this program.

Set 4
Wide-grip Lat Pull-down
60x10, 65x10
Dips
Assisted -40x10, -40x10
I didn't sleep well, I woke up at around 12:30 and tossed and turned the rest of the night, the alarm clock went off at 4:00am and I somehow dragged my butt out of bed. I ate and had some coffee and by the time I got to the gym, I was awake and looking forward to the workout. The agonistic training was awesome - I felt strong got a nice pump in my back and chest and just felt great - I just wish I could have done more than two sets. I did dumbbells because Jim, my hubby didn't come with me so I didn't have a spotter.
Noon: Ran 30 min 4.5 mph 4.0 incline
Meals
Meal 1 4:00 am
6 egg whites
2 whole eggs
Coffee w/stevia
Meal 2 7:00 am
5 oz chicken
18 almonds (16g)
3.5 oz blueberries
Meal 3 10:30 am
4oz Mahi Mahi fillet
3 cups raw spinach
2 oz avocado
6.5 oz grapefruit
Meal 4 1:30 pm
4 oz lean beef
Asparagus
18 almonds
Meal 5 4:30 pm
5 oz tuna (canned)
18 almonds
Meal 6 7:30 pm - haven't eaten this yet.
Sludge
My first day of the CHA plan went very well. I'm feeling fantastic, but I can't believe how much food I'm eating, I'm totally stuffed, I feel like I'm literally force feeding myself. This was a good thing today because we had a birthday celebration at the office and just looking at the doughnuts and junk food made me feel sick. LOL
Anyway, other than the lack of sleep, I feel fantastic only a slight foggy feeling, but I'm not sure if that's from lack of sleep or the lack of carbs. I love the workout and diet so far hasn't been bad, I'm not missing the carbs at all. Hope tomorrow goes as well.

Excellent First Day!!!!
You've got the hang of this already.
Although the lack of energy you feel at the moment might be from the lack of sleep, it could also be from the lack of carbs. It does/can happen the first couple of days until your body gets use to it
However, once passed the say 48-72 hour point your focus will sharpen and your energy levels will be high.
You'll also notice a change in your body as well. You'll have a leaner harder look.
I know I've ask you recently, but when are you planning on competing again?
Again, GREAT job....you'll very well here..

Aw that's good to hear, I can handle a few days. The volume of food is what's really killing me. wow!
For sure doing a show at the end of March, there are a couple ones this fall that I might do - it'll depend on my conditioning at the time.

I had the 'foggy' feeling too for the first couple weeks, but it goes away and then I even noticed an increase in strength after that! I know what you mean about finding it hard to believe you're cutting... it SEEMS like so much food! lol.
Keep up the good work, you're doing great!

It won't take much for you to see results, you already look fantastic.
I agree about all that food, hard to get it all in, and you have one more meal than me!
Have a great day.

I am determined to take this program as far as I can, I want to show up on stage in the best shape I can be.
Oh man, just when I start to get warmed-up I'm done, I would love to get another set or two in.

Thanks Jay, I'm ready to start seeing some results, I wasn't making any progress on my own, and now I feel like I have a fresh start.
Well, at least it's good for something. LOL I like working out in the morning - starts the day off right!

I agree about all that food, hard to get it all in, and you have one more meal than me!
Have a great day.

Hi Cat, I ready to start seeing some results, I think this is the plan to help me do that.
Hope you have a great day too!

Fantastic workouts!!! Way to go in there & rock n roll!!!

I was thinking that once I get to 4 and 5 sets, I would drop the reps down to 6 or 8 and go a little heavier.

Hi Brian, I'm glad too, I felt like I was going nowhere on my old plan.
Welcome aboard.

HIIT Wednesday Week 1, Day 3
Cardio: HIIT, followed by 15 mins @ 6.0mph. I love HIIT, but that session make me realize that I am really out of shape. Hot and sweaty.
Meals
Meal 1 - egg whites/2 whole eggs/Coffee w/stevia
Meal 2 - chicken/almonds/blueberries
Meal 3 - Chicken/avocado/spinach/grapefruit
Meal 4 - mahi mahi/broccoli/almonds
Meal 5 - ground turkey/tomato/asparagus
Meal 6 - Sludge w/o blueberries
Day three. I'm noticing that I am starting to look a little tighter around my tummy. Energy levels were much better today, I think I?m getting the hang of this.

Great job.
Um yeah, nothing will open a persons eye's about their lack of conditioning quicker than a HIIT routine, LOL! The first few times for me, my lungs were burning when I was finished...
Good to hear your energy levels are better. They'll probably get better still and your focus even sharper.
Whats on tap for today?
I'll be heading to the gym in a while myself.
Have a good one Nancy.

Morning Nancy
I think this diet plan is the easiest I have done, with quick results too! You get right into it.
Glad the energy is up now.
chk, avocado, spinach and grapefruit-great combo!

Haha, it was an eye opener for me too, the pace I was running used to be an easy run, now, I'm dying. LOL I know, that's not good, I really need to keep up on my cardio too.
Everyday the energy and mental focus gets better.
Legs today, I'll be posting the stats soon.

That is my favorite meal, I think I've had it everyday since I started the diet.
