IMO here is what works best:
1.5 hours preworkout --- medium protein, high carb meal, low far (examples would be a baked potato with salsa/fatfree sourcream, a can of tuna, 1 tbsp lowfat mayo
30 minutes preworkout --- some sort of preworkout drink... I of course use cryoshock but also enjoy white flood, stimX, velocity xt, ragnaraok
DURING the workout --- some time of eea/bcaa/whey drink, i highly recommend INTRABOLIC as the best intraworkout nutrition breakdown but a lot of people also really enjoy purple wraath, ICE, Xtend
immediately post workout --- some time of whey protein with some sort of fast digesting carb --- I do 50g whey protein immedately post workout, and may throw in a banana or something
30-45 minutes post workout --- a balanced meal with high quality protein, low-GI carbs and moderate fat intake
i posted this so u can see a preworkout supplement is a small, albeit important, part of the equationGaspari Nutrition Rep and Overall BAMF

Its not cheap, but I just started cryoshock yesterday, and I had the most insane workout I've ever had. Twas leg day and it seriously took everything I had to walk down a flight of stairs once I was done- and my workout lasted all of 12 minutes. My intensity was straight up through the roof.
If you're looking to go the value route, give white flood a try. Gives good energy, but didn't nothing for me on pumps.

if your pre workout nutrition is in check and you are looking for an energy boost I would check out Core's ZAP. It has a great blend of energy/cognitive enhancers that get you in the mindset as well as providing steady energy throughout the workout with no crash or jitters.
Check out some reviews we've had on it: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showth...&highlight=ZAP"Don't Talk About It - Be About It"

well a good meal and shake work great.
as for supplements
pump: glycergrow (tho studies are finding it may illicit a false pump)
bulk l-arginine
pump energy: white flood
ragnarok
shock therapy
energy: pure caffine
supplement direct reps (has workout endurance enhancements also)(and creatine mono)
stimulant X
all these are effective and priced very well
