    purpose of BCAA during cut?

    I was just wondering what the exact purpose was of BCAAs during a cut. Does it actually aid somewhat with fatloss or is it just mainly to help reduce the amount of muscle lost? Thanks for your help!

    bcaa's

    Never done a cycle, but can tell you bcaa's are steroidal amino acids. Make sure your getting the proper ratio: 2mg Leu / 2mg Val / 1mg Iso. Also, high intake of Leucine can cause a build-up of ammonia, but Citrulline helps to detox. Peace.

    Still makes no sense. BCAA's are amino acids with side chains instead of linear ones. Combined they make up the majority of the amino acid content in skeletal muscles.
    The reason they are beneficial in a cut is the fact that they cause an insulin stimulation without the presense of carbs. Think low/no calorie insulin spike. This is where you feel the energy boost. Not to mention the increased protein synthesis caused by the leucine.
