It gives your body what it needs to repair the muscle that you just tore up in your workout. Whey protein is very fast absorbing, so within 15-30 minutes of taking it, your body has absorbed most of it. After workout is the most crucial because your blood is rushing to your muscle, therefore protein will rush to your muscle...right where you want it to go

studies have shown that heavy weight resistense training burns up your muscle peptides. you've heard the term "feel the burn"? that's where it comes from. whey, in it's peptide form, is a direct replacement for those lost muscle peptides so it is the logical choice for a post workout drink. be careful to only use whey in it's peptide form. some of the cheaper wheys out there use concentrate instead of the peptides.

i like doing 2 scoops of whey for PWO, which is approx. 46-48g.
People say you only need 20-30, but i did that for a while and didn't really like the results. i was also taking it with high GI carbs. 48g is the sweet spot for me. even though some people would think that's too much--------------------- ϞϞ( ๑⚈ ․̫ ⚈๑). ---------------------
