    yea im talking ATG here

I think I may lower my estimate on the squat now that i thinkabout it though. I think most untrained people would have a real problem holding 200lbs on their back even if their legs were strong enough to hold it.

There's no way the average person lifts this much.

    It's more like..

    Bench - 95
    Squat - 125
    Deadlift - 135

Seriously, my friend who is 6'0 @ 180 can bench 95 lbs, can't even do a standing military press with an empty barbell, and can't squat 95 without rounding his back. I tried starting him on Rippetoes, he quit after 1 day lol...

Since he's taller he doesn't look fat, but he's weak as ****.

if a guy has never lifted before then it depends greatly upon his genetics thus there can't be an average partly cos once you test the theory, the guy will have lifted for the test and is therefore no longer part of the group who have never lifted before...

Was it your first time lifting though. We are talking about the average joe who doesn't work out at all. If anything they get exercise from sports.

No, not for the squat and deadlift. But the only thing I did before the squat/deadlift was basically bench and curls lol.

In my friend's case the only thing he did was pushups, but never any actual weights. He has really short arms though, so his range of motion would probably be half of my range of motion.

Thanks bro, I would like to be 330 by may of next year and then focus on maintaining that weight while lowering the bf and the summer after that start competing for sure, take it as far as I can. I have only been doin this for a year so far, so i def wanna see how far i can take. In regards to the weights for untrained joes, i am a trainer at a "average" gym lol and you would be surprised how many average guys wouldnt even attempt 135 on bb press and if any of them did squats right, couldnt top 150 and most cats dont even know what deadlift means!! lol
