Just pray you don't get dry sockets, my wisdom teeth took over 3-4 months to heal afterwards cause the holes from removing the teeth wouldn't heal properly, it was hell.

He didnt need to put stiches in my mouth. The only slight pain I felt while he was pulling them out was when he was trying to get the impacted tooth. While he was pulling at that, it kind of hurt my jaw but 3 more shots of novacaine helped with that

I got hydrocodone and bought some advil as well but surpsingly I didnt not need to use any of them. I must not be normal bc I felt NO pain the next day. I didnt even feel anything the day they got pulled out. I only bled for about 3 hours afterwards and then I was fine. The worst part of the whole process was my jaw being numb and that lasted the whole first day but was gone by the time I woke up. I didnt even have any swelling.
It was hard to eat anything the first day bc my mouth was numb and I couldnt feel it so I only drank protein shakes and took some yogurt but I was fine to eat anything the next day. Im been sticking to eating mainly liquid and soft foods though bc solids tend to get stuck in the wholes where my tooths were and its annoying trying to clean that out

I dont think the healing process will be too hard for me. Only complication is that I feel a bit of a small tooth fragment in my gum where he had to cut the impacted tooth. I can tough it with my hand and see it. Im not sure what to do with it. I read that this happens sometimes and will push out as the gum heals so Im waiting bc its not bothering me right now

The first week will be a living hell. Pain; you can't eat hard stuff. You'll just want to sleep. Second week is bad, but not as painful. About a month after you'll get use to the feeling, then they'll pop out the sutures and you'll be happy.

Don't bother with the pain pills, just take Tylenol or sumthin'.... Also when I had all 4 taken out my jaw was basically stitched shut and I couldn't eat anything but pudding.

I had mine out last year fist week of summer.
I had NO pain at all, I did not need to take any pain pills at all. (serious)(high pain tolerance though)

evolution takes its course
i didnt feel any pain at all either until i played soccer. We were in the middle of high school season so i didnt have a choice but to play. The blood would get flowing around my face and i would have throbbing pains where my teeth were. But as soon as i stopped running and calmed down the pain would go away.
wasnt bad at all for me

wow, I heard the horror stories before I got mine taken out and hearing them now which is why Im surpised I didnt feel any pain and can eat anything I want if I choose to. If anything, Im in less pain now that I got my teeth taken out bc Im no longer getting intense earaches and toothaches. Thank god those are gone. Guess everyone reacts differently

I noticed what I thought was a tooth fragment on the side of my gums a few days after and went back to the dentist who told me it was actually bone. I went in to have it fixxed today and he cut open the gum and then shaved the bone down and said it will heal up on its own. I felt no pain when my teeth were pulled but this hurts. The pain medication Im taking isnt even helping much. It also hurts when I open my jaw and when I swallow. I hope it passes by tomorrow bc Im not feeling too comfortable at all.
