    waist to shoulder/chest ratio

    at my leanest (around 8%) i got down to a 33 inch waist...

    at this point i realized that i have a very wide pelvic bone and for me to have a nice appearance i need my shoulders and chest/lats to grow...

    im bulking again

    my shoulders right now are 53 inches at the widest point
    and my chest/lats are 45 inches at their thickest


    how much bigger do i have to get to make a 33 inch waist proportionate?

    I dont know if my opinion really means much as I dont do comp. But I'm about the same shape as you, 34 waist, 45 chest. My friends think I look cartoonish almost. So honestly I think you're proportional, can you get bigger, I definitely think so.

    Neck/Arms & calves all roughly the same measurement.

    Sorry, I am not sure what #'s to give you for height & weight. Obviously this standard is quite hard to obtain. Keep working & refining your physique. Consistency of Effort pays off in the long haul.

    i really don't know too many people that have the "divinci" standards, but ideal body calculators do okay for naturals

    My father, an old school Turkish bodybuilder once told me they considered the perfect male proportion to be a chest that was 17 inches wider than the waist...

    I am still a few inches off, I have a 50 inch chest and around a 35.5 inch waist currently, and almost got there about 10 years ago when I was in college and had a 48 inch chest with a 32 inch waist, alas its taking a little while to get back after about an 8 year layoff(been back at it about 14 months or so now)...

    Now if you are wanting to base it off what researchers consider the perfect body for a male based on female attractiveness, it would be either a Waist to Shoulder ratio of between .6 to .74 or a Shoulder to Waist ratio of 1.4 to 1.618. Ironically, 1.618 is considered nature's most perfect ratio(Golden Ratio) and is found everywhere, for example in seashells, sunflower spirals, music, math(Fibonnaci sequence), etc. The studies found that Waist to Shoulder ratio was the number one overriding feature that determined women's attractiveness to a random male and that attractiveness to this ratio increased until it peaked at 1.618 and then decreased quickly above that point. A second ratio that was important but not as much, was the Waist to Hip ratio, which women found a ratio of around .9 most attractive...

    so to answer your question, a 1.618 Shoulder to Waist ratio would seem to ideal given its importance in nature, science, music, math and many female attractiveness studies...

    It is a great question. Couple things you failed to mention are your height and weight at 8%. If your competing 8% obviously is way to high. Example being my own waist. At 198 lbs at the thickest part of the waist I'm 36.5 and prob around 10%. At 176 I think my waist was 32. my body fat was too high still at 6% and I was super flat cause of no carbs for too long. Point being it's prob easier to lose some more fat than gain in size to acheive a smaller waist line. It's all an illusion on stage. Big legs, big back and shoulders equal small waist no matter the measurements....

    This is correct also your quads should measure the same as your waist in perfect proportioning. I have 54 inch shoulders 48 inch chest relaxed on both measurments and my waist is 30-32 at 9% but when I am show ready my waist is down to 28-29 inches.
