HIGH Protein Mixing
Ok so I have this kind of odd habit. I mix soy and whey protein together. The soy is flavorless and the whey is vanilla. In m opinion it's delicious and also high in protein. Heres my question, is mixing the both bad or cancel one out or something?
here's my recipe if your curious
16 oz 2% milk (16g Protein)
3 scoops of Genisoy soy protein powder (25g protein)
2 scoops vanilla ON 100% whey gold standard (48g Protein)
total = 89 g protein

no they don't cancel one another out, but that is a lot of calories and protein in one shake to be comsuming, are you bulking or what?

The amount is overkill. I personally would keep the protein grams well under 48 grams. And possibly lower, though all depending on your weight, BMI and exercise level.
Spread the shakes out drink or 2 small ones a day.
Soy and whey are both good proteins. Though should add whey is absorbed easily by the body therefore quickly, the ration 2:1 in wheys favor gets a lot of protein in you very quickly, dpending on your goals weight etc. that may be counter productive in many ways.

What's that 6-700cals? Not too much if it's Post WO or a meal replacement

Yeah thats true, but that is still a lot of protein in one sitting, I would cut some of the protein and add some oats or other form of complex carbs.

Yeah I am trying to bulk in muscle. I start strict diet and weight training soon (waiting on a boxer's fracture to heal a little more) but i'm trying to eat my weight in protein a day. i only do that mix once a day. the rest i keep it at 50 or so grams. Any opinions on those ABB 50G RTD's? Secondly check out my page for my upcoming workout schedule, any comments on that?
