THIS ISNT NEWS EVERYONE! YOU WANT TO ANSWER TO ALL YOUR BODYBUILDING DREAMS?!
It's FOOD!!!!!! Big hunks of lean beef, chicken, pork, and others! Add in some veggies and a potatoe or brown rice!!!!!!
Come on people! All the nitric oxides, creatines, protien shakes and other stuff aint gunna do squat without a wholesome diet for BUILDING THAT MUSCLE YOU ALWAYS WANTED!!!!!
In October of 2007 I was 198 shredded taking all the supplements in the world and trying to build. If it wasnt for FOOD I would not be 235lbs with 10.5% bodyfat and still growing! I love getting asked if I'm on any "stuff" and I say, yep.......FOOD!!!!!!!!!

hey man, people waste too much time buying all kinds of **** when they dont even eat!
Do it like the old days. Eat those massive amounts of protiens and calories and add your aminos and shakes after that.
Its amazing to see the results of high quality good food!

I can't stand when trainers come on here and try to INFORM us. You bring up a point that has already been hammered day in and day out. It's been said, we all know it. You're kicking a dead horse.
What about people with fast metabolisms who can't eat those MASSIVE amounts of calories. That's where a supplement like a weight gainer would come into play...I could go all day.
Also to come onto a site that sells SUPPLEMENTS and say they aren't necessary....

Im not a trainer buddy. Im a cop. Used to be a trainer but too much bull****.
What do you think your body metabolizes better? A weight gainer shake or a big ass steak, potatoe and some veggies????
Did I forget to mention I have a bachelors degree in nutrition? lol
Im simply trying to help. Eat more food first. Worry about supplements after!
THATS IT!

I understand what you're saying. But do you unerstand my point, you can't have a big ass steak, potatoe and veggies everyday if you're on a tight budget or if you don't have the time. For example, I work 2 jobs and am a student preparing for the police test in November. I bring food to work sometimes but that isn't enough. That's where a shake comes into place.

I understand, but the shake shouldnt be used to replace your meal. Prepare food and put it in containers to bring to work.
Thats what I do. Put it in a small coller to keep it chilled.. I eat 8-10 real meals a day and have three shakes of muscle milk protien on top of that.
I hear you about the money too....BUT THIS IS BODYBUILDING.COM.
Key word. Bodybuilding! Make the sacrifice!
I love the arguement tho! Didnt think I would rattle the cage this bad. lol

I think a good chunk of people already have there diet in check and are looking for a little bit extra, nothing wrong with that even if it is a placebo effect it can still help.

Agreed. There is such a thing as a plateau and people reach them all the time. It is the supplements that help them get past that wall.

Eh I would agree with the OP, you see all these young guys talking about great gains and looking at their stacks... really supplement overkill IMO.
Some dudes drop over 300 bucks a month on nitros and ****. No need for all that. Get a few good basics to enhance your workout and eat to grow.
Get way better results if your diet is right. MOST people prioritize supplements first and diet second. This is a mistake.
(edit ace that isn't directed toward you, just saying generally.)
YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT.
REPEAT:
YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT.
I hope that sinks in for some, get your diet right. Alcohol is also a big no no.

this is the supplement section
it is for the discussion of supplements
the nutrition section is for food discussion
the supplement section is for the discussion of supplements
why is this thread in the supplement section?

Why? Simple, he's discussing people taking too many supplements.
Fine being here no?

I see the OP has a few supplements listed on his profile that he uses. I guess he's smarter than me so it's ok for him to use supplements.
