no offense, but those legs are OBVIOUSLY not platz's, the shape is nowhere close. I'd pretty much guarantee that they are munzers.

I know he had serious complications. But why refuse the transfusion? Did he just want to die?

I'm not sure if he did refuse, but in cases where it goes against religious beliefs like Jehovah's Witnesses, patients can refuse any medical procedure including blood transfusions as long as they're in their right mind at the time and understand their consequences. If a doctor decides he wants to override their wishes, they have to seek out the ethical committee at the hospital and then I think they need the action of a judge to legally perform the procedure without the patient's consent.

There's a LOT that goes into consent.

Munzer was just a case of sacrificing himself to the sport. You can't disrespect that. Munzer would have liked to live longer Im sure, but would he have changed much of his routine to be the best? No.

I think Munzer could have benefited the same from better nutrition and more frequent training. There was really no need to stack 3-4 orals in serious dosages. Contrary to what the retards on here will tell you, when on the sauce and you stop making progress, increasing the volume is the answer.
