Who here would be interested in doing an "Approach" Bootcamp?
There is another forum at which I am a member (Sosuave if you have heard of it) that has a Bootcamp that is quite popular that last 8 weeks, each week having a new goal attainable through reading, music picks and, obviously, exercises. Although I think the reading and music part is a waste of time, the exercise part definitely isn't. After all, you can have the best game in the world all theorized in your head, if you are too shy to put it in practice, it's completely useless.
Here is what the 8 weeks resume too:
Week #1 - Developing / Conveying Confidence
We all know that confidence is king when it comes to getting girls, and just about everything else in
life... but how the heck do we become confident, and equally importantly, how do we convey
confidence?
Well, besides some wonderful reading, exercises during this lesson include two, one-hour outings with
the purpose of learning to establish and maintain eye contact (probably the number one way to display
confidence) plus saying a brief hello to 50 strangers (girls, guys, old, young... don't matter).
Week #2 - Initiating Conversations with Strangers
In lesson 1, we learned how to convey confidence and approach strangers with a simple hi... Now we
will practice small conversations (2-10 minutes) with ten strangers.
Week #3 - Approaching and Initiating Conversations with Girls
OK, during lessons 1 and 2, we got practice approaching and initiating conversations with strangers.
By now your attitude and confidence have most likely improved, and you are now ready to approach
girls you would like to date. The goal here is not to get their number, but rather to maintain a friendly
2 - 10 minute conversation with ten girls whom are strangers to you.
Week #4 - Handling Objections and Dealing with Rejections
Just like in certain martial art disciplines, where practitioners dig their hands through heated sand in
order to build calluses and to kill off pain receptors on their hands, so too must we learn to build
calluses against rejection and to stop rejections from causing us emotional pain.
As such, the purpose of this lesson is to go out, approach girls, and close for the phone numbers. But
instead of the goal being to acquire the numbers, the goal is to actually collect a total of ten rejections.
After this lesson, you will have become immune to rejections, plus you will learn the difference
between rejections and objections (and how to overcome objections).
This will be a long lesson, simply because, believe it or not, it is not easy to get rejected ten times, at
least not without acquiring plenty of phone numbers in the process.
Week #5 - Setting Up Initial Date / What To Do On First Date
So now we have a pool of phone numbers that we acquired in lesson 4, now we experiment with
different approaches to closing them on the phone and setting up dates. Plus, we will discuss what to
do and not do on the first date so that to maintain a DJ persona, and to increase the girls' interest
levels in us.
Based on the number of phone numbers you have acquired in lesson 4, you'll probably end up going
on a couple of dates at this point.
Also, if you have less than ten phone numbers that are in the woodwork (e.g., girls that you haven't
Nexted for blowing you off, or you are not interested in), then you will work on acquiring phone
numbers. From this point on, until you have finished this Boot Camp, you will work on maintaining a
minimum of ten active phone numbers (not necessarily dating ten girls, which would be too stressful in
my opinion, but rather have their numbers but have not ruled them out yet).
Week #6 - Setting Up Subsequent Dates / Increasing Interest Level
At this point in the Boot Camp, you will have acquired phone numbers and went out on first dates.
Now, you will learn to set up a subsequent dates, and learn what to do and not do on the second
dates, plus ways to increase her interest level in you.
And if you have not done a kiss close in the first date, you will be doing it on this date. You'll also work
on building up the kinesthetics from previous encounters, etc.
Week #7 - Building up Intimacy
I said intimacy, not romance. Romance is for relationships, intimacy is for building attraction.
At this point, you have already kiss closed the girls you are dating, and maybe even dropped one or
two that you were not interested in. The fortunate remaining ones get to be rewarded with more
kissing, and a move up on the intimate level.
Also, activities include trying out more date options, so as to help you determine where you enjoy
going on dates. And if you happen to have dropped (or been dropped by) too many girls, you may
need to go into the field and acquire more phone number, which by now is a much easier goal to
achieve.
Week #8 - Becoming the Alpha Male
Alright... You've come a long way baby! You got out of your cocoon, developed and conveyed
confidence, learned to approach and talk to strangers... you've initiated conversations with girls, got
their numbers, and went out on dates! Wow!!!
Now it's time for the real test of a DJ. In this final lesson, your goal will be to go into a social situation,
such as a party, wedding, meeting, club, etc., and become the dominant male.
You no longer have a fear of rejection, you are at ease approaching people, so the final aspect now is
to put it all together and dominate the place!
If you are interested, simply sign here, if we get enough people we could do the bootcamp together, either split it into different teams (if we have a lot of candidates) post our FR and help each other (try not to lie hahah). Also, "moderators" of this event would be good, people with a lot of experience (I'd propose myself, but I am sure we could find much more suitable moderators on this forum)
The link: http://www.jbspencer.com/djb/Downloads/djbc.pdf
Obviously though some of the weeks seem too short for what they should be (especially the dating part). We could tweak it, and week 5-6-7 we could give ourselves 2 weeks instead of 1 for each exercise, or something like that.
Anyone interested, any suggestions?
edit: changed for a more suitable title.

Can the camp be on rotation? This one is the summer camp. But can we have the fall camp? While I am at school. Thanks much.
Ummm and do we have to be single to participate?

Sure, if enough people are up for it and we start, say, mid July, after that I can host another one. And being single should in no cases stop you

I am not single but the approach seems like something I can do for networking. Looking forward to more people participating or joining up.

Uhh, one of these things. These things are really a big thing, masked under a small thing. All these techniques are basiclly just build up to you having confidence. Im gonna be honest, i tried this out for a couple of weeks. Maybe it didnt work for me because i already had alot of confidence, but this technique actually screws you up more. Atleast it did for me.
Last november i went on a cruise and i didnt have anythoughts of using it there, but then i met this other dude which the whole PUA thing was his life, so we tried it out for a couple of days. And i tryed the whole thing, i tryed the openers, negs, etc and all the other stuff. And You try remembering all this bull**** lines that it screws you up more. So one night, they went somewhere else, and i just went to the club with the boys and just dissed out the whole PUA thing, just was my usually confident self, and ended up just meeting this hot ass chick and ended up taking me back to her room.

Ya, this PUA thing, is all about getting confidence. Its not the lines, not the negs, not the openers, just the confidence. Comedians can be used as an example. Comedians have to have confidence to be funny. Who do you think would be funnier, a non confident kinda nerdy guy that made a not so funny joke, but if Dane Cook takes that same jokes, and uses confidence and says it, it will probably be funny.
Now there are some things that i still use in mind about PUA, but its only like one thing. And thats the IOI's. And the peackoking thing is just ridicoulous. If a regular guy goes into a club dressing like Mystery, people are just gonna look at him like a ****in weirdo, not like a pimp.

I couldn't agree more. The goal of the Bootcamp is not to program you into a PUA, it's to get you to learn to develop self confidence, enough to make approaches. Once you do, it's all about crash and burn. Don't mimic someone's style because it most probably will not suit you

if this is like a book you read and excercises you do by yourself that kind of defeats the purpose of a bootcamp imo. Bootcamps are all about having a teacher leading you through telling what your doing right/wrong and pushing you so you dont puss out. Help on the spot from someone who knows what they are doing is priceless and could take weeks/months out on your own. But hell I got into this going to my mall every week and just talking to people so do what you gotta do.

i'm sure the experiment or amris will be willing to point out areas where people went wrong if you asked.
the problem with these sorts of things is so many people bail out, almost noone gets half way let alone finishes.

^ yeh but most of the time the problems guys have are little things that make a big difference. Talking to fast, nervous hand guestures, keeping the elbows locked in at your side (t rex arms), tense shoulders etc. Because your focusing on the girls and the conversation its easy to miss that stuff and not remember what you were doing. Thats where a 3rd party comes in.
right its hard to quit when you got a decent amount of money put into the program (why these guy charge so much), and have someone encouraging you to go out.
but hey like I said if it gets you out of the house and working on becoming a better person then more power to you.

We all know that confidence is king when it comes to getting girls, and just about everything else in

Well, besides some wonderful reading, exercises during this lesson include two, one-hour outings with

confidence) plus saying a brief hello to 50 strangers (girls, guys, old, young... don't matter).

Help on the spot from someone who knows what they are doing is priceless and could take weeks/months out on your own. But hell I got into this going to my mall every week and just talking to people so do what you gotta do.

I think the OP appointed himself to be a moderator over this bootcamp. Being that he also has placed a lot of very logical and read worthy topics about being a MAN and not a AFC, we can believe he knows what he's talking about. I have trust in the OP that he'd moderate and assist this bootcamp to the best of his MAN ability

right its hard to quit when you got a decent amount of money put into the program (why these guy charge so much), and have someone encouraging you to go out.
but hey like I said if it gets you out of the house and working on becoming a better person then more power to you.

true that
well if this goes ahead i'll come along. i've done similar stuff before (was in original style-life bootcamp if anyone knows about it) and i attribute it to A LOT of my self improvement, confidence is boosted signficantly and also PERMANENTLY after doing something like this - assuming you go all the way with it.
count me in.
